Trying to access Torghast on alt. Did SL stuff when current

I leveled through Shadowlands when it was current and did the story line quests on more than one character, and even the entire Shadowlands campaign at least twice (bc completionist with a new main). I did most of the covenant campaigns all the way through on multiple characters, too. This allowed me to do the Threads of Fate on my alts afterwards, up until it was removed with Dragonflight. With that, it left my Threads of Fate alts in a limbo.

I say limbo because after recently hitting 60 on a warrior, I can not find how to get to Torghast. No quests to start the first chapter of the covenant campaign. The only skip I saw available in Oribos was to skip through parts of Zereth Mortis with Pocopoc. Nothing else was offered. When I jump down to Torghast, I can’t even mount up. There’s no portals to Torghast or Korthia up either.

All this has me wondering, what am I missing? Do I have to do the entire story line on my warrior? If able?

When leveling through Ardenweald doing oddball side quests, I got credit for aiding that zone and was sent to Oribos to select another location to assist. This makes me think I can not go back and do the story line IF that’s what I’m needing to do. I’d like to unlock the blacksmithing Shadowghast stuff for mog, but I can’t. IIRC, the Runecarver in Torghast needs to be unlocked before the base legendary items can be learned. I’m guessing this is still the case.

How do I unlock Torghast, now?

Go up to Bolvar and he should have quests with the option that youve done this before. You should have a few skips like that

I did that, as I did before with other alts back in SL, for the skips. The only skip available was the Zareth Mortis one. Nothing for Korthia and nothing for Torghast. Those areas are not unlocked after doing the Zareth Mortis skip.

That should have unlocked the Torghast stuff.

I wonder if you have to be current max level which would be stupid. Even though threads of fate are gone that was not a requirement for skipping

Which is what I thought but when I jumped down into the Maw, I could not mount and there were no portal to Torghast. Venari wasn’t there either.

Interesting. Maybe see if anyone else at the table has skips for you?

Did you go back to the order hall to look if the breadcrumb quest was available?

Or have you relogged that character since doing the skip?

There are no other skips available. I tried going back to Stormwind, tried relogging. Logged out last night in SW only to come back to Oribos to check if anything updated. Nothing. Went back to covenant hall. Nothing. Went down to the Maw. Nothing.

Gotcha. Just spitballing ideas. Are you in Chromie time? I know it kicks you out at 60.

Just trying to think up ideas. Otherwise I would just submit a ticket. Not sure why it would be doing this

I got kicked out of Chromie time last night after hitting 60 and returning to Stormwind.

Have you tried talking to the Oribos guy by the table near Bolvar? I am utterly blanking on what they are called.

I had this problem on one of my toons before they took away threads. There was a really inobvious thing to pick up that quest chain.

Try talking to the guy out back behind the inn? That’s where they had the guy that let you choose threads of fate?

There was a quest in Oribos from Bolvar that could skip you through to Korthia. But I’m not sure if it’s connected to getting your Covenant established or not. I feel like it was. Let me see if I can find the steps I took on my 60+ characters in 10.0.

Edit: these were my steps in 10.0, but I don’t know what’s stopping Torghast from opening up. My suggestion is ask in CS, see if anyone has any ideas tomorrow.

I don’t know if this will apply to your issue. But it’s the best I’ve got. :slightly_frowning_face:

I am having the same issue OP.

Recently during the Winds of Wisdom XP buff I was leveling a LOT of 60 alts up to 70 in TimeWalking dungeons. The problem was a lot of these 60s didn’t have high enough ilvl to get into the dungeons.

Solution. Have them go to Shadowlands, type in FATE, choose covanent, get the ZM skip, and mail them 7k anima to buy 262 catch-up gear in ZM.

I tried to take one of these alts to Torghast and to Kothoria but 1) No Venari 2) When I tried to run to Korthia I got killed as I still was affected by that madness debuff.

Couldn’t figure out how to unlock.

Sounds like this may be broken then. It worked in 10.0, but doesn’t now, so it may be messed up on their end. Maybe similar to Dazar’alor. :slightly_frowning_face:
