Best DPS spec in the game totes zero bias everyone should re-roll to it 
But I’ve been jumping from spec to spec for awhile after playing Affliction warlock for well like ever lol and come to the conclusion Affliction Warlock is the best DPS spec 
Now returning to my main after months just gotta level her up and get rid of this Shadowlands gear like still got my old tier and that caster Dagger from the final raid of Shadowlands 
Oh and also completed the Warlock Quest Initiate Oman is now my favourite Warlock in the lore hoping Bliz bring him back 10/10 awesome quest

I really like the AoE capabilities that come with Seed, insta Agony casts, Phantom Singularity, and Soul Rot.

I like Affliction for AoE, it’s simple. Insta cast Agony/Corruption means you can pull several mobs relatively short, blast them with Vile Taint and SoC, then burn them down with Malefic Rapture is really a simple AoE system.

It’s fantastic for farming old content. Instant damage on just a global CD, pasting things left and right, zipping around with a speed set and speed food, really nice.

I’ve mained Warlock since late-Wrath and was primarily Affliction ever since Legion. Only changed mains when Devastation came out.
I will say, the change to Dread Touch made the spec much, much better in the way it flows.

Even when I’m playing other specs to avoid burnout, I still say Affliction is the best
I’m saying to heck with the canon. That pandaren warlock wearing a gas mask lived dangit. Gonna have him be Rosenivy’s new apprentice. Poor fella was scared using Curse magic. I just want him to follow me around and study.

I love my affliction lock and it certainly has its niche, but i can’t say it’s too much fun to be in a low-mid level M+ and watch all of the other dps pump out big numbers while you’re slowly casting seed, watching it travel, waiting for it to pop etc etc, we have sooooo many globals to spend just to catch up to everyone. This isn’t a problem in high end keys where things live for a long time, but when you’re in content where things have to die super fast, affliction kinda sucks lol

And then a Destro lock comes in and does what you do 10x better.
The reduced cast time for seed has helped a lot, it feels much better

Its a good thing then that you don’t need to reroll anything. Spec changing is a thing.
I don’t like Affliction, I’ve never been fond of the dotting type of play. I prefer Destro and blowing things up with Chaos Bolts, etc.

It definitely helped, but it needs faster travel time and detonation on impact, even if they give it a cooldown i wouldn’t care, we just need a faster way of ramping things up, they also need to make it so that taint can refresh agony, having to manually reapply them all every 2nd time kinda sucks. Prior to taint existing, i had always advocated for seed to have a much longer cooldown and for it to apply both corruption and agony.
Also, putting siphon life back as a part of corruption would be great

This post made me want to jump on my Aff lock. But I already have so many alts I want to play and not enough time. First world problems.

Honestly they just need to make VT line up for Agony reapplying (you know…like how Shadow Crash does) and just delete Siphon Life and adjust Rapture accordingly. The spec feels fine outside of like Decaytriarch in BH, but a lot of specs have issues with 8 second totems.

Idk i like seed spam for aoe as a playstyle, i know theres been lots of changes for aff these past few years but it dont feel all that different now then it does on wrath classic imo just add in a faster gcd and instead of shadowbolting you use rupture its still jist maintain dots and castong drain soul lol and for aoe you seed spam and maintain dots.
I always loved dot specs. Spread the love.
