Just gotta say…I just now found out about these forum “trust levels” for posting and images, and have to say that they are, to me…dumb.
If someone isn’t a frequenter of forums and wants to just get information on something that they only have an image of…it’s basically s.o.l. time for you.
I understand that it was put in place for the few that abused the old system and posted questionable material, but it seems like the entire community got punished for the few nubsausages.
Just my opinion.

What old system? You couldn’t post images on the old forum either. You can do what you could do then right now without trust 3 by putting the link between two ` markers.
You couldn’t even post pics in the old forums.
But you could insert the links for them though. I used to do it all the time when my guild was running original Kara.
Hyper linking was disabled like over a decade ago on the forum iteration that was before Cata. Not since before 2010 could you insert actual links or images.
How do you even check what your trust level is?
It’s on your forum profile. Trust 2 (which is the most common) will say “member” while trust 3 says “regular”.

Right…and when did Kara come out? During the Burning Failure. 2007-2009. This is exactly what I am talking about.
But what then does the removal of clickable links have to do with trust level, which didn’t exist until 2018? I mean sure, links were removed back in like 2009 because of things like sexleg and gold farmers posting phishing links, but that is hardly relevant when the forums went through two more iterations since then.

You can get banned for saying “get gud”
Mine were for silly stuff I shouldn’t have done. Spam (repeating my own post to make a point), masked profanity, “trolling” when I stepped over the line during a discussion or debate.
I did one of each, and oh well, no TL3 for me. Hooray for the stupid inconsequential posts I shouldn’t have made in the first place.

You can actually earn trust 3 back now. I think you start over completely after a ban though.
I can verify that you can get it back to TL3. I’ve had a few vacations in the last six months but…
Yeah, I’ve heard that several times. Yet, I have met the other requirements and never got TL3. My last vacation was for only 48 hours, over a year ago.
I dunno how the earn-back works, but whatever it is, I haven’t done it yet.
