The pick one of three has this as well. But what it gives is people who don’t always min-max choices to do other things. And I liked the trees better than the system MoP started.
Unfortunately everyone will just sim whichever is the “best” permutation. I hope they put a lot of stuff in there that is not simmable so that we can have true freedom of choice.
If you can do interesting things that will be effective, yes. But that isn’t what we always got with trees, is it?
Maybe they can finally bring back shockdin builds for paladins. L
Luckily they are talking about interface and talents now… LIVE
Hybridization is cool
This whole “I’m a fire mage so I only want to do fire things” style is lame. I want frostfire bolt back. I want fire/ice hybridization again.
I want actual specs again, builds that people come up with acronyms for.
Like the good ol days.
Sl/sl warlocks, AR/prep rogues, that kind of thing was cool and made wow feel different.
That’s one of the major things i’m curious about. Definitely looks interesting, although it’ll be min-maxed to hell anyway
Talent trees will just be cookie cutter IF one does endgame stuff where 1% makes a difference. For those of us who don’t raid or M+, this is going to be fun. This freshly showered casual is looking forward to it.
It seems like it’s just leveling up
The unintended builds that just became the new cookie cutters until Blizzard inevitably broke them in the next patch by rearranging the talent trees, you mean?
yea i cant wait for players to get told which talents to use by simcraft and wowhead guides
Indeed.
There will always be a build that optimizes for damage or healing or mitigation in a particular context, and those builds will remain vital to the progression raiding conversation. But for the rest of us, the ability to customize and actually PLAY with our characters, regardless of whether they’re imba or not (as we used to say), is welcome!
They talked for a good bit but failed to mention how you’ll be getting talent points.
It’s going to be a loooooooooong grind. Bet on it.
I’m not excited about this, I think it’s a mistake.
getting stuck with some chucklehead joe who has the most ridiculous talent tree cause “mah playstyle” while he does a fraction of the damage he would if he had chosen better talents… the mists style talents we have now prevent a lot of that.
And… and… and… they didn’t mention trees and alts.
Cant wait to put 5 points into “increase the damage/healing of spell” So fun…
I started right when they took it away, I had a month of the talent tree and I am so damn stoked for this and for the customizable dragon mount All I’ve been saying is: I don’t care what the expansion is Blizz…Just please, please for the love of Sylvannas, just give us a good expansion. I’m looking forward to it.
Is that a convoke the spirits I see there on that tree?
ITS HERE FOREVER BWAHAHAAHAHAHAHA!!!
But isn’t that the point of a game. Do you really want all the rewards given to you in the first week of play? No, because than the game just gets boring AF. Somethings are worth the grind my dude.
