There is only 1 faction in WOW atm so I don’t see what cross-faction is going to do.
It works…when alliance loses this dumb as hell idea horde mercs are here to lose matches for the actual horde team.
I have merc’d horde chars. I run legit alliance chars. Either way I want wins. I jsut want pvp and wins. Side/faction crap? Don’t care. I am team A. I want team A to win.
I/we don’t need to throw matches for horde to win. alliance can do a fine job all by itself here really lol.
Some dual siders/mercs like me…we give tips not to be “spies” throwing the match. We ahve seen what alliance is about to do. We have seen in ashran where this had us as horde down 70 to 20 becoming an actual win for us. We give advice on how to avoid that.
It gets voted down as horde spy crap. and…we lose.
True, and it needs to happen sooner rather than later.
The people who are against the faction merge are WoW’s version of Boomers. And nobody likes a boomer.
You realize that this game is called “World of Warcraft” right and we’re not supposed to be really friendly with the opposite faction. If the issue is the fact that you don’t have anyone to raid with, cross-faction raiding is not going to resolve that - see my previous post as an example.
Merc mode didn’t change the social dynamic because it’s only for queue’d content. If you could pvp premade with opposite faction, that would be a different story.
Then why are Jaina and Thrall BFFs? Anduin (pre-domination), and Baine? Why did the Alliance help Saurfang challenge Sylvanas, then not press their advantage once the Banshee fled? If Jaina and Thalisra team up to take down Azshara together, Why can’t an adventurer from Orgrimmar team up with an adventurer from Stormwind?
Druids, DK’s and DHs by lore get along. We’ve had neutral zones since creation. Horde and alliance druids pressed a special button since day 1 of classic in fact. well day 1 of them getting the level for the cast lol.
Its not even Legion order hall gimmick. Druids fall under cenarius. DK’s are uber undead freaks not under the dark lady. And dh’s are so pizza cutter (all edge no point) only we can deal with each other.
30 dh’s in a room…all saying I have sacrificed everything. Yeah, its no mystery why we don’t get invites to a-list parties for either faction.
Well DH came in legion but…we have Illidari as a concept existing before then NPC wise.
Poorly Written Story?
Yep.
I justt hope its alliance who starts crap to lead to 10.0. Horde needs an expac off. Time for alliance to start the static. Just once.
I’d take back every bad thing I said about turalyon if it was him who started the fight. Well, most bad things.
But the lore is the way it is, nothing you nor I can do to change that
I’d say up until Legion, the Lore was pretty decent, yes Jaina and Thrall wanted the factions to be friendly, but the other leaders did not. While the Lore in Legion makes sense to a point, the developers muddied the waters by making Class Halls, they probably should not have done that, even if the cause was a good one. From that point on, the lore just went down the toilet - none of BFA made any sense and shadowlands makes even less sense.
They can still right the Lore ship if they had good writers who were actually passionate about Warcraft and understood the actual history (Lore).
I feel like only BFA and MoP were the only expansions that got kicked off by one of the 2 main factions (horde), almost all others got started by a 3rd party (BC: Burning Legion, Wrath: Scourge attack both sides, Cata: Deathwing attacks both sides, MoP: Navel skirmish, unclear who started it, WoD: Bronze Dragonflight, Legion: the burning legion and Kirin tor, BFA: horde, SL: Sylvanas, who isn’t part of either faction by this point.
I noticed it’s not about skill level. Alliance PvP is frustrating because people don’t follow instructions. I can message “cap x” 5 times and only like 1-2 people will listen while the rest go off and do their own thing.
Idk why, but Alliance players tend to only listen to you if they feel you already have some sort of established authority or if others in the chat agree with the person making the order. Otherwise, they just default to “let me PvP on the roads!!!”
Tbh I think I’d rather run my hands through boiling water than have to deal with that more than I have to.
Pretty much all this… It won’t increase the number of tanks or healers… It won’t magically fix problems…
It gets irksome. Why I try to get my points before the weekend. Weekend pvp jsut for lols when bored.
Tourists come out on the weekends. But I am 10/10 heroic! If this was raid I’d say awesome. its ashran. You can kill the ogres really good. BUt…getting those frags is half the battle, bear master.
A lesson many don’t’ learn. No matter how many times they wake up treesus too early to see him die to the glads on the horde bridge.
Treesus no road points taken…treesus dies to glads most of the time. Then horde wakes up rocky and you go now the pain begins. I’ve seen pro healers keep treesus alive for a win. But…usually he dies.
I would like them to have cross-faction cooperative play in the world. However, if they did that I would wish they keep the faction restrictions in the major faction cities & starting areas (e.g. Stormwind, Orgrimmar, etc…). Make the rest of the world faction neutral. Not sure HOW they would do that thou.
You know how rare/elites don’t faction tag and a free for all.
Turn that on for all mobs. One step closer to a better experience here.
I caught what must have been horde night on MG. sadly I was on alliance. Made it a much longer process for even WQ"s to hammer out the ardenweald callings.
That is 100% true. Everyone knew who the ninja looters and trolls were.
I can remember times when one would get invited to a raid group and the whole group would erupt with “NOOOO! He’s a troll, kick him!” and then the dude would be gone. That accountability is now gone.
The negative type ?? yes
I think it would make the game more toxic honestly
This is false.
