Opening up cross-faction gameplay would create a more social atmosphere for WoW?
True
True
But it doesn’t necessarily mean the game would improve.
imo it’s worth trying, but nothing is guaranteed.
False. It would make getting groups easier but it would not make things more social. Larger people pool doesn’t make things more social.
I agree 100%.
Very true point. Can’t force people to be social, albeit they’re indirectly choosing to be when they decide to participate in the first place.
True.
Yes. Trust.
Increaseing the size of the social envelope, doesnt necessarily mean increasing the decency of gameplay, unfortunately.
So im gonna go with True trending toward False.
Absolutely! And then it’s up to the players if they actually decide to utilize it, or cry like they do now lol
True. Here’s my question, are they trying to work with cross-factions guild or just grouping? I wonder how WPvP will work if cross-faction guilds are in place.
lol Goldshire becomes a free-for-all. Can you imagine the RPers getting sacked at 1am by Allies?
EDIT: I can 100% guarantee that would make me play Retail more lol.
False.
The way retail is designed these days is in a very anti social way, not necessarily intentionally, but it’s the end result of making sure doing the content is always reasonably doable in regards to having players available and/or easy to solo. This makes other players unnecessary or easily replaceable. Cross faction will likely just make it worse, although not sure it can really be that much more worse. We’re already at rock bottom for required social interaction.
When the game launched servers were far smaller and shared between factions on top of that which effectively cut your player pool in half. It’s why people mock the idea of playing classic because they don’t want to post for 30 minutes to fill a group.
A smaller playerbase makes people more social because you will have to work with them regularly, replacing them isn’t necessarily easy, and if you piss them off you may lose out on a resource for future runs. Classic isn’t a perfect recreation of this though, especially as DPS isn’t hard hard find, but it’s closer in that regard.

(Showing my age here for a moment but I do completely agree, based off of personal experience of playing that game when it was current content.)
I’d imagine that if this ever happens, it will be purely for instanced content.
That’s what I’m saying. I can’t imagine what WPvP is will be with this. They could cancel it out if war mode is on. When it is off you could then group.
Neither because it’s not like I’m going to talk to anyone in my random dungeon
How would PvP work then? Especially BG’s?
Turn friendly fire on lmao WSG would get salty really fast
I’d say false, because the way the game is designed today, it makes people less social.
