True Autoloot

Going back for decor, I’ve been having the misfortune of revisiting torghast recently for achievements. As many problems as it had, there was one thing about it that i found myself wishing was carried forward into the rest of the game:

Fully Automatic looting.

The Efficient Looter skill from The Box of Many Things automatically looted enemies once killed, excluding bosses.

I’d like this to be added as an option in the settings for use everywhere in the game, rather than just in torghast. Looting has always felt awkward when you’re trying to get through groups with demon hunter tanks, or just questing and trying to get from point to point but stopping to loot everything.

Sure, the postmaster does what he can to make it so you don’t miss any important loot from just ignoring the looting altogether, but I’d like an option that still allows us to gather the gold drops and vendor junk that adds up in value over time.

Could just have it like FF14 when it came to random mobs: Anything killed is automatically looted upon the mobs death. Exception for Bosses.

There is no time I’m pleased with the ‘immersion’ of trying to group the bodies of mobs to die within loot range, killing them too fast, and then having to waddle around picking up sparkles off 3 separate bodies.

Tax it 10% when automatic, and every single player would turn that on instantly.

I loved Torghast’s way of handling loot, but it needs to be stressed that it must be an option rather than inherent. Anyone who’s tried to loot things in an NA<->OCE group will know why.
