I need to be honest with you.
I read the title too fast at first and thought it said ‘shouldn’t’ be allowed. And I was like WHAT.
but then I clicked the thread and got to actually read the title properly, and so I am relieved. Troll Demon Hunters would be incredible; they do indeed have those Demoniac fellows! It’s totally in canon!

The idea does have merit OP. Trolls need some pizazz and I think the moves of a demon hunter will fit them well.

Elves and trolls are similar. They are just as awesome as trolls. I would like to be a troll demon hunter and stand with my cousins.

They also aren’t actual cousins in the literal sense in terms of species, they were evolved by raw arcane magic.
They aren’t even remotely the same anymore, in fact a good chunk of their DNA was more or less overwritten since elves share no abilities with trolls.
Trolls should not be demon hunters.
You clearly should be asking for Shadowhunters.

I doubt it will ever happen because you have to be partially exposed to fel energies in order to become a demon hunter, and that wont happen until the Burning Legion’s return.
Death Knights getting access to more races made sense because they were just raising dead bodies, demon hunters were all elves trained by Illidan and created in the Black Temple it doesn’t fit in the cannon to just let new races take up glaives.
They should be Darkspear-only though, because only Darkspear are cool enough to be demon hunters. Zandalari are trolls for players who don’t like trolls. Also, more people should be playing Darkspear.
Well hyenas and dogs look a lot alike, but they aren’t even remotely related. Hyenas are in the feliformia suborder and dogs are in the caniformia suborder. The last ancestor they shared was around 40 million years ago.
Same goes for trolls and elves. Yes, they were related at one time, but the well evolved the elves as if they spent millions of years naturally evolving. Draenei (In the form of Eredar), Orcs (Fel Orcs (Some actually are part of the Horde, can we get Red Skin customization for them already?)), and Trolls (Demoniacs) are already Demon Hunters to some degree (ESPECIALLY the Demoniacs.), I see no reason they all can’t be Demon Hunters.
