I really want to play a troll for this next expac. Being that I wish to preorder the expac i am curious about possible routes for what i will play.
Part of this will be transmogs, for one I have never truly leveled a spellcaster beyond level like 30? I was thinking multiple choices, for one possibly a fire mage that worships jan’alai would be cool to have fun with role play wise, but beyond that, mage doesn’t seem that fun to me.
Shadow priest was another idea as it would fit into the void theme of midnight and I could go multiple ways with a possible story.
I saw online that apparently feral Druid is incredibly fun to play currently so that sounds somewhat inviting, but would that not be just worshipping Gonk, or maybe not worshipping but in some way revering? As he was the loa that taught darkspear Druidism.
Thought that wouldn’t quite fit into what I’m going for.
Shaman and warlock were also thoughts but they don’t seem to be in a good place rn.
I want to take into account gameplay but also roleplay options as that is arguably the most enjoyable side of wow rn.
First up… despite its name… a lot of the gameplay shots doubles down on Midnight being fundamentally a Light-themed expansion… including a shot of an Orc Shaman in so much golden glowing armor they make Turalyon, aka captain lightbulb, look rather dull in comparison.
Two… take people’s opinions on “fun” with a truck of salt. Some assume “Big Numbers = Fun” while others care only about RP elements… and about a thousand other means of deciding… I’m personally in the catagory of “what flows well for me.”
So that out of the way… I love Shaman, if we could tank I’d only play the one class and never look back. For me it’s because Enhancement just flows like breath and when I’m in the groove hits like water through a cutting jet. Most importantly though they inspire me to write and that’s ultimately what draws me to them.
For what it matters you’ve got plenty of time to try out the different classes and explore mogs for them on your future troll build.
