How would being able to slay a beast translate into giving a pet better stats?
Like in real life, some pets can feed off the emotions of their owner and orcs…RAGE so yeah they are perfect for a pet damage buff.
belf, no questions asked. elves are are generally known as rangers anyway but also belves are superior to all else.
Trolls are great hunters, especially if you’re going with dinos/raptors. Although they’re great with all beasts. There’s a reason that the vanilla hunter quest book “The greatest race of Hunters” features a troll and her pet tiger.
Still, the belf farstrider aesthetic is good too.

Unless they fixed it, they have the single worst bow animations in the game. They stand with their feet quite literally backward from the way anyone, even a complete imbecile, would intuitively position them.
I had an old Belf huntard dating back to BC that I finally dumpstered one day because I couldn’t take it anymore.

Pretty sure they updated Blood Elf bow animations in Legion.

Sorry I missed your repy. I only wrote is as a trivia as to why troll hunters would still make a great choice for class/race choice. That they still had some thematic benefits.

If hunters could get throwing spears or throwing axes again, I’d say troll. I like the old classic elf ranger with a bow.
