When you say troll hunter do you mean a troll that hunts, or a hunter of trolls, we need details. Or atleast a fair warning if i should run.
I feel BM or Survival works best for a Troll.

I really like survival. Really, really.
Whatever you do, don’t take MM.
MM Hunters are now chained to an eagle. Even if you take the Talent that returns your regular pet to you, you can’t get rid of the eagle.
And lorewise the Darkspear Trolls don’t think highly of birds.
“No self-respecting Darkspear troll engages in bird worship. Their spirits are weak, capricious, and best left to the Amani.”
My suggestion: Get Survival Spec, equip a really dark spear (get it? Darkspear! 
) and use Sentinel Hero Spec. Just say that your loa gives you moon powers or something like that.

We shoot our bows sideways so we win on coolness factor alone. 
It’s just a hunter thing. The “bird” is really an eagle, and eagles are very good hunters. They basically personify what the hunter class is.
Not sure what Darkspear are seeing, maybe lay back on whatever mojo you got going on over there.
Survival fits troll the best.
Survival if only because Trolls generally use spears and well, its the only spec that uses one.
You need to fly to Norway for training also they hide in plain sight.
Falconry is an extremely baked-in part of rangers since WC3.
Go with a bow, as Trolls have the best bow animations.
It doan matter what cha go wit mon. As long as yore a troll, yore good.
