Oh and to answer your question, YES I believe so. BUT I think they did specify the seeds hatch when they feel like it or something so it could be longer if the Loa chooses.

I’m really hoping they bring him back and don’t leave him on the back burner, Vol’Jin has so much potential in light of the plot for the World Soul Saga, if they screw this up it’d be such a colossal waste of an opportunity.

I’d love to see him come back in a big way, “Touched by the hand of Valor” we never found out what that means, is it Azeroth? We know it’s not Odin. I really hope they don’t just throw all that away.

yeah… the mask needs a rework. i’d preffer a tiki-mask, or atleast a shorter, different-coloured bandana. it looks ridiculous!
I’m not sure if they will make changes or not but I hope they do based entirely on your devotion to the cause of troll transmog. It’s nice seeing someone care this much about an OG horde race instead of another flavor of elves being added.

Totally agree, but without any official polling from Blizzard and no proper platform on which to conduct it this is just about the best we could hope for.
The data itself is anecdotal at best, and the method by which it was obtained leaves much to be desired but with 97 people saying there’s something wrong that needs to be changed compared to only 13 saying it’s perfectly fine I’d say it’s a safe bet that the consumer on average is not impressed with the effort put in to product we paid for. You’d have to be A.) trying to make it bad or B.) hardly trying at all, or C.) Completely unfamiliar with the concepts your work is based on and therefore not suited for the project, to result in such an obvious blunder.

The mask is a mess. That’s really the only issue I have, but I won’t use it in its current state on my two Trolls.

Yeah the mask is the outlier the being made just wrong… most of the other issues is just a lack of creativity and general blandness that wasn’t necessary on a project where creative liberty was taken. There’s so much art out there to take inspirations from and they just nerfed every piece they took. I honestly don’t see myself using any of it, maybe that 1 shoulder and MAYBE the back piece but I bought the Black Market Witch Doctor back piece which has skulls and seems just better.

The OP’s post was a thorough, well worded, well thought out critique specifically of the appearance of the armor. How can you come away from their post thinking it was an attack on the artist or some simplified “bad cuz i said so” kind of thing?
I personally don’t think it’s all that bad but the head piece (as is common with Blizzard armor design) is completely terrible and if it couldn’t be hidden would ruin the entire set for me.

Thank you! I feel like I was pretty clear that this wasn’t just a blind opinion on face value, I judged it based on a metric, what is a Heritage armor? This set is based on 4-7 different concept arts not a single source. Each piece taken was altered and not for the better and in some cases not remaining true to the original concepts.
I was a little harsh on the artist, tbh I think the bones of this were made by AI. Blizzard said so in an interview that they’d be using AI to help design things like Racial Armor sets specifically.
If you ask me to paint you a Sun Flower and I paint you a beautiful Rose because I don’t know what a Sun Flower is, or I’m not good at doing Sun Flowers or I don’t like Sun Flowers or I just wanted to be creative, am I an objectively bad artist? No. But I am a bad concept artist, I failed to deliver on the concept and that’s what happened here, It’s a Troll mog ( a flower) but not a Troll Heritage Armor (sun flower).
The reference pieces like how the mask is worn is all easily accessible, things like the belt being plain and clipping halfway into the male models legs simply sould not be accepted and praised as good when it’s objectively shotty workman ship.

I remember that. the weird way the mask was done kinda reminds me of how AI can’t do hands properly and stuff. It just looks like it was done by someone who has never worn a mask, and wouldn’t make the connection that it looks like an elephant.

Yeah I haven’t been the same since Vol’Jin was done so dirty in Legion… then they made Zappy boi… If this heritage quest line doesn’t go hard and we don’t see some PvP changes before TWW I’m gonna be reconsidering my sub. Not definitely gonna leave just re-evaluating if this game is still for me.

They built up Vol’Jins return so much if they botch this I’m going to be seriously disappointed, I’ve been checking for WoWhead datamines every week to see if anything about the quest chain leaks, seems like they’re keeping it a secret, I hope that’s a good sign…

Me too, seems discretion is a new thing they’re trying buy I really hope we get a Loa powered Vol’Jin in the Horde’s corner we need him to help balance the power scales, might not get another chance to balance those scales.

Yeah, they kinda painted themselves into a corner, Thrall isn’t gonna be around much longer I bet too. I hope they’re considering giving us a beefed up Vol’Jin otherwise what’ll the Horde be? I don’t see them introducing any super powerful characters any time soon.
