Tonight is a night of giving! The first person to answer the following trivia will be gifted a mount of their choice by Moritz!
The question is:
This movie was released in 1987, and one of the rules of its release was ‘No merchandising’, hilariously parodied in the movie itself.
(Mount must be added Pre-DF)

I’m just happy the creator is still alive, he’s been quiet for so long I assumed he died.

There’s a sequel, but it was a short lived animated series. I saw it on G4, but only had 1 season.
Airing: Sep 21, 2008-Jan 1, 2009
Spaceballs, while it does have little unofficial advertising and merchandise, has a no official merchandise clause as part of the contract with George Lucus.
It is a great parody of Star Wars. My fave bits are:
“Weve been combing this desert for hours! We aint found blam!” said by the actor who plays Tuvok in Star Trek: Voyager.
“No sir, I did not see you play with your dolls”
“THEYVE GONE PLAID!”

When was the Brontosaurus mount added?
There is also a Spaceballs 2 actual film in the works-
Spaceballs 2: Directed by Josh Greenbaum. With Mel Brooks, Lewis Pullman, Rick Moranis, Bill Pullman. Long-awaited sequel to Spaceballs (1987).
AND it’s bringing Rick Moranis out of mostly-retirement?!
