I got a trinket from timewalking and not sure if it is an upgrade. I am new to sim’s (downloaded yesterday). I use Leviathan’s lure (405) and the Inscription trinket, Highborne Compendium of Storms (400).
The trinket I got from timewalking is “Tendrils of Burrowed Dark” (warforged 405) stats as follows:
+190 master
Equip: Your spells have a chance to grant you 1,467 spell power for 15 seconds.
On the surface it looks okay. Someone posted the tested uptime measurement to be: Total PPM CD Uptime Tendrils of the Burrowing Dark 31 0.67 1.27m 16.76%.
Any opinions on the trinket? Thanks so much for any input

my gut tells me it wont be better than a lure at that level, compendium is insanely strong as well, but follow the above for raidbots and it should let you (remember to yoink simcraft addon as well for efficiency)

I ran the sim. Equipping it was -937 dps drop. The Highborne Compendium of Storms (400) was 147dps higher than the Leviathan’s Lure (405).
Edit: I swapped some talents around and picked up 2k dps. The gap between Compendium and the Lure widened to 350dps difference as an fyi.

Compendium is extremely strong for it’s item level. In a general sim from Bloodmallet, it is equal more or less to a Heroic Lure. Granted your personal sims my vary.
