I get “must be horde.” I’m playing a Goblin. I did a run of strat and abruptly can’t use my mount. Tried relogging.
Anyone heard of anything like this?

Blizzard pulled multiple mounts to try and make you rebuy it.
Don’t know for sure yours was on that list, but thats a possibility.
Why did they do that?
Cash shop.
The trike disappearing may have been an error on their part (assuming you are talking about the goblin mount that you buy with gold).
But its blizzard doing a cash grab to try and make people buy mounts they already own from retail.
The offical announcement of it is not going well for them, because people already bought the product and are being told they have to buy it again because it is a different version of the game…
Well I can’t rebuy it. Or I did and it says “already known.”
Open a ticket, blizzard is a multi dollar company so cant expect to much from them.
They didn’t. This user is making up conspiracies because that’s all WoW Forum users know how to do.
If you recently race changed, there may be an issue with the back-end server not updating your Faction correctly (even if you went from Horde → Horde) and may just either need to wait for the next reset or just put a ticket in.

I’m having a VERY similar issue with a lvl 30 worgen rogue. I only have one mount, the one i got at lvl 20. Been playing daily for a few days now with no issue, including earlier today. Used mount, no issue. Now it is gone. In the mounts tab it still says i own 1 at the top. But the Mountain horse i got from Gilneas vendor isn’t listed. I am also getting the “must be alliance” sign when i try to mount it from my action bar.
So i have no mount now. Great

This happened to my Goblin as well. I logged in a few hours ago and was on my trike, and then I got off for a second to do a quest, and when I tried getting back on it told me that “Horde is required” to ride the mount. It also disappeared from my mount collection tab.
I submitted a bug report just in case this goes unnoticed but yeah, you’re not the only one. From reading other’s comments here, it seems that the new Cataclysm races (Goblin and Worgen) mounts are both bugged.
I suppose I may be at fault? I had reported the Trike was usable as Alliance (or was at least appearing in the Alliance Mount Journal), and reported it as a bug. I guess it got fixed, just incorrectly. I’ll go add that to my post.

This happened to me as well. It wouldn’t let me ride the Trike then when I signed on later it was gone completely. Not in my collections tab, not in my bags.

Same here just bought it says 1 mount can’t see or use it
Yeah i cant use my mount either i got to use it earlier today did a few low level quest then hopped for a few hours then bam kept sayin requires horde to use went to go and try and rebuy it nope didnt work either 
They’re not gone from every Goblin’s inventory but they are indeed gone. It says mine is still in my collection, however it doesn’t show there. This means re buying the mount isn’t possible making it pretty sad for low levels with no other mounts.
As with all things, make sure it’s also posted to Bug Reports. They’ll see it faster there, rather than here.

It costs 70s ingame. I don’t think that’s it.
I have not race changed/boosted/etc.
Same here, it’s not in my mount tab. You can’t re-buy it because it says already owned. When I click the icon on my action bar, I get an error saying, “Requires Horde”.
I’m a level 44 goblin lol and I only have horde characters on this server.
My mounts are gone too, and all of my heirlooms and toys.
is this why I’ve been seeing some worgens with the goblin trike?
