I had to stop after 6 premades in a row stomped our disorganized pugs. Is AB going to be the same? Any insights from vets that remember queue rules for it? I’m left with raid logging for now and a hope AB can save the game.
If it’s in any way efficient for farming honor, yeah it’ll probably be the same. I remember AB allowing a full 15 man queue, but it’s possible my memory of this particular detail isn’t accurate.
However, the benefit of AB is that the match has a limited duration. It’ll end one way or another, and even faster if you’re getting 5 capped by a premade.
Premade vs Pug cancer was a thing for as long as I could remember playing WoW. People tell me they changed it eventually.
Sad part is now it will be so much worse. I said I would never step food in WSG and I haven’t, because I knew it would be like this.
Everyone used to say “don’t you just have friends?” as an excuse when in reality it should have always been premades vs premades only.
AB used to be the same as WSG. The major difference with vanilla and now is that you would face one premade maybe every 4-5 games, not every single game like it is the case right now. The current situation of WSG is terrible for any pug, and yet the forums are swarmed by rankers telling us we should learn to deal with it or stop playing it.
They don’t seem to realize that premades are not even looking to fight premades and are just dodging queues. I am also sure that a premade full of high ranks would totally destroy a premade of casuals, which is usually the suggestion of everyone in this forum (“just find friends queue as a group”). Well guess what happens? You either face a pug group and stomp them (making their life equally as miserable as yours was), face a equally ranked premade that dodges you, or face a highly ranked premade that will stomp you.
It’s going to be a matter of how many people are still pushing ranks when AB drops. If lots of people have completed their grind? Then it won’t be as bad IMO, also AB is the only PvP battleground I enjoy(and I think a lot of other more casual people also enjoy) so that’s when my keyboard turning butt is gonna show up again.
I don’t understand why premades are allowed
If you’re a beast at PvP, then you should play in a pug and have everyone be like “holy * that guy is amazing”
But instead you have the same group of 10 strangers just queue dodging over and ovet
it takes away from the MMO aspect of the game kind of
Short answer? Yes.
For the record, I am not a ranker. I just finally hit rank 5 this week. Does that make me a ranker? I honestly don’t know. If it does ignore the rest. but anywho, I mess around with world pvp when im on and do BG’s when the guild is ready and i am telling you to stop pugging BG’s. So it isnt just rankers or try hards.
I don’t understand why pugs are allowed? You don’t have LFG, no raid finder for pve so why do they have raid finder for pvp?
Can someone seriously answer that question for me? I have been asking all day and not one person has even attempted an answer.
no community. you losers call those better than you no-lifers instead of appreciate them.
Because when most of these BGs were designed and implemented the only people you played with were on your server. It’s harder to AFK and bot when everyone in the BG can DM your guild master and impact the reputation of your entire guild.
That person you screwed over by botting? Well he might be the next person forming the group for the dungeon you want to join.
You also have to remember that for a lot of vanilla those end dungeons were 10 or 15 man affairs. Much more likely to encounter the same people multiple times.
Because they’re egotistical narcissists who demoralize anyone lower than them.
I remember playing AB, AV, and WSG without premades and doing fine. I was exalted with wsg and AB before tbc came out, and I never ran premades. But this is 2020 and it’s different, if you can premade, there will be premades.
welcome to premades.
I did thousands of pugs as a warrior, and had an absolute blast. Sadly, with the state of the game, it’s not worth queuing anything but AV even with the 1:15 queue.
Sorry but these changes are what you guys wanted for AV , enjoy
if not you can always quit and help your realm out by reducing their queue time
Sorry if you don’t like it. Get a premade of your own.
You are there to feed honor to the fine dedicated and highly skilled women and men of the alliance.
Just imagine when you are high rank to. Then the table is turned and you can devour the noobie too.
Vanilla PvP system was really a lot of bigger fish eating the little fish. Then a bigger fish comes along and eats tje big fish.
highly skilled women and men of the alliance
If these guys were highly skilled, they wouldn’t be using a spy to make sure they’re playing against a PUG. Unless you mean skilled in avoiding a challenge… lol
I’ve only been impressed with a few rank 12+ individuals I’ve seen in WSG, and only one alliance premade team, because they didn’t spy before joining…
Thing with AB
A pug can drive a premade insane, if the pug will communicate a bit
and cooperate.
The PUG may not win, but they can exasperate the premade to no end and run out the time limit
I sense your lack of sarcasm disturbing.

They need to split up the 60s by rank (like 1-8, 9-14). Basically ‘casuals and those that will try for rank’ and rankers. Upper bracket gets more honor, thus rankers want to be in it. (few other rules to make it work)
Right now this will not last. Not even sure why premades want this, there is no enjoyable/competitive PvP to be had. Vanilla had 1 in 5 matches be bad, now it is 5 in 5 (that includes easy wins, no idea anyone who considers themselves a ‘skilled PvPer’ can like this since you cannot be considered good at a sport if you never play competitive matches. You are not good until you prove it and at this rate, no one will be around to care).
This is like a terrible form of PvE to get gear.
