Tried shaman, to many buttons

100% Agree, You should’ve seen the globals we would have to go through in SL just to get the burst off appropriately for PvP it was very rewarding, and fun if you could get the long version of it off.

I honestly feel like Elemental is LONG over due for a Rework.

It would’ve been nice to see a Rework this expansion for Shaman since we’ve had a few already.

I do. I have a VDH and when I want to tank or do HDH I do that. So yes I do play DH.

Both enhance and ele with icefury have too many buttons.

stopped reading after the first sentence. have you tried to git gud?

what is it about the wow forums that compels people to go to a class forum for a class they literally don’t play and complain about the playstyle. i feel like i’m on the monk forum right now.

Personally I think it’s hilarious and cooked takes like this are part of the reason I even read these forums

Not gonna lie they’re the entire reason I come here

Problem is that every so often Blizzard listens to these people and start removing abilities and or merging talents. I love how Enhancement plays right now and as I have stated above if it is too much for people well there are other classes that have less buttons.

With the updates coming in 10.2, those who do not like certain talents to use in their rotation will have a choice to use a passive instead. This should help those who use certain builds that regard EB as an obstacle to a good rotation.

Other than that Enhancement Shaman plays quite well. And has for pretty much all this expansion. So it’s in a good place to only get better. If you find that Enhancement Shaman has too many buttons to press in its current form and really want to play it - please check out online gameplay/guides.

Once you get the hang of it you will come to enjoy its complexity and understand why that’s what makes it fun - it makes you think about what to press (to enhance your abilities) Pun Intended.

For us who love it, we’d dare not change it to some simple 3 button gameplay.

Then play literally any other melee if you feel this way, this is the best version of enhancement I can remember playing since maybe vanilla.

I don’t understand thinking a class you’ve barely played that tons of people enjoy needs to be changed, while admitting it’s the only melee spec you find convoluted, lol. There are what, 12 other specs you can play then?

If you want to easy mode it, storm build is very absent of button bloat.

100% agreed that windfury should be an aura at this point, though.

They did this already. Wf was auto applied when you equiped a MH weapon and FT was auto applied when you equiped the oh. Then people wanted choice and they brought back the imbues so people could use frostbrand over Flametongue. But they removed Frostbrand weapon. And kept it as is.

Personally I like having to apply the weapon imbues. I know there was a bug where wf was bugged where you had to reapply it when you enter in dungeons. But there was a bug for it when it was an aura where you had to unequip your weapons and reequip them for the same reason.

I’m talking about the totem party buff, not imbues.

I think totems need to be reworked for the modern game. I like how they did manaspring for Enhancement. So yea I can see WF totem being a passive aura. I miss our totems though and being able to drop them and help the group I miss that.

Yeah I mean the other alternative is to take it off the gcd and let us macro it for people that want to physically drop it. Or make it last 5 minutes and have 100yd range (this wouldn’t be a great fix in m+, though).

I don’t care how they work it, I just don’t want to be punished by a global when I need to drop it in combat.

I also believe that hero talents will be a great way for them to make support based off specs and introduce something like a more totem-centric support variant.

Personally I think if we go support it should be as a tank. That being said. This is my thoughts return our activated totems and give us the ability to drop 4 at once like we used to have and allow us to choose which totems we drop. Then you take it off the gcd and give it a 40-60 yd range so it will work in boss fights. And then have it be group specific. That way you have to take more than one shaman. Or make it so our totems are so impactful you will want more than just 1. And make them spec specific. So have Enhancement buff melee, Elemental buff ranged and resto buff healers.

That what I would do.
