Tricks of the Trade and Distract

I know developers don’t read any of this but I still feel like complaining.

First thing first.

The fact that for some obscure reason ToT can’t be used on mounted players, makes it very awkward and clunky to use in PvP (with the talent).
I can’t fathom any reason for this behavior so it would be nice if things were changed.

As for distract, why exactly doesn’t it work on targets that are in combat? Considering it is such a niche ability, I see no reason for it. If the skill aways worked, it could add a little fun to PvP.
Worse yet, when you try to use it and there’s a combat flagged target in the area, you get those unable to cast errors, which feels very clunky for an AoE skill. It should always go off.

Reason 1 is so that you can’t ToT to people who can just kite mobs on a mount
Reason 2 is so that you can’t grief allies with enemies that have directional cone abilities.

Those are some really poor reasons to be honest.

  1. The PvP talent part of ToT could just be split from the threat redirection if that’s an actual issue. Where could it be one though, some irrelevant outdoor raid boss?
Enabling the skill’s free use in arenas/bg would be a simple solution as well.
Either way you can just use ToT and then the target mounts up, the buff is still there so it defeats the whole “purpose”.

  2. That’s pretty damn silly. There are much worse abilities you can “grief” allies with which work in combat. Likewise, if the skill worked in combat then you could potentially help out by redirecting breath attacks and such, not that it works on bosses though.
