Using 3 pieces of the same set is fine. People throw sets together all the time. But using a full set is… a full set.
She… hid a helm. That’s still a full set. Why are you so bothered? It’s not a smug comment it’s just honesty. I complimented her mage tower daggers and said I do like the set, I just wouldn’t rate a full set highly because it’s not that creative. Why are you taking this like it’s a personal offense? You almost look like you’re… white knighting?

Heroic raid set gives you points for prestige, but men being not shirtless is a big no-no for me.
So…because yours has three pieces from a set, we should rate yours appropriately. Got it.
The slight mis-match in weapons and legs would normally have earned you an 8…but minus 3 for the set pieces makes it 5/10.
Yours isn’t particularly flashy, but that’s not a bad thing. Fitting for a warlock.

Yet, I would rather have pointed out that…despite it being a full set…she hid the helm, allowing her ear decorations and skin tone to make the ensemble look stunning. She definitely deserved more than a smug comment, and a low rating of only 2…hence why you received much the same.

The only prominent streamer that regularly runs (or ran) mog contests stated over and over that use of 3 pieces from a set is something he’s going to rate as a full set. 2 pieces or less are acceptable.
Let’s look at this objectively. If you are using 3 pieces designed to match in appearance you are not being transformative in your mog choices. The point is to take a series of seemingly disparate design elements, separated by time and expansion and create harmony from a visual perspective.
