does anyone know if you can change specs in the middle of a competition during trial of style? i have a great outfit for summer styles but i need to be a different spec to show the trident!

If you’re on, say, Hunter, you don’t need to change your spec to equip the weapons in question. You can be MM and still hold a sword, but almost all of your abilities will be inaccessible.
I think this applies to every spec in the game: If it’s a weapon the class, in and of itself, can equip, it can equip it regardless. Just don’t try using it.

Yes you can switch specs and may need to for certain things like dual-wielding.
