Token cost can vary per transmog, based on the difficulty of acquiring it. For example (just throwing numbers out there):
- White items: 10 tokens.
- Green items: 25 tokens.
- Blue items: 50 tokens.
- Purple items: 100 tokens.
- Legendary items (Shadowmourne, etc): 500 tokens.
- Unobtainable appearances (original naxx set pieces, etc): 1000 tokens.
- NPC-specific appearances (like Genn’s brown cloak or the Night Warrior armor): 10,000 tokens.

If that was available all the time people would be bored out of their minds quickly.
It’s not enough content to keep players engaged all the time.
Besides they don’t put a lot of effort into anything new when it does come around.
The next step would be cross faction trial of style. Though developers won’t allow that because they know their favorite race the Blood elves would be destroyed by us.
Also when ToS is up all Transmogrification is free, so permanent is flat out.
If they’re not going to add anything new to it they might as well do something like this. It’s wasted content otherwise.
I don’t think it should be up all the time. You’d never get enough people to queue to do it.

I could get behind it, but only if the free mogging wasn’t included. And I’m a little leery about adding stuff that is no longer obtainable. Some of them? Sure.
This would be a nice break from grinding levels (I am opposed to making this “reward” xp).
I think 4x a year instead of the 2x it currently is now (I think) would be nice. I agree if it were available all the time, we’d struggle to see people participating at all.
Additional mogs to spend the trial of style coinage would be nice as well.

It should be up more often than the current rotation, I agree. It needs a huge update imo. New cosmetics added maybe more interactions.
There was a thread about this a few months ago, I believe it was asking for new cosmetics, it be on a shorter rotation than it is currently, like once a month or every other month.
I think it would be kind of cool to add other unique mogs like for holidays, other themes, like Horde/Alliance, racial city (Org/SW etc), different racial or class themes like Dark Rangers, Bards, etc.
Another idea, pieces sold separately.
- Main or off hands that resemble musical instruments, lanterns, a basket of kittens, or w/e.
- Hats, head pieces, robes, shirts, pants, etc so you can make your own themed sets.
- Visible jewelry/feathers for neck, ears, nose, facial, hair and tail jewelry.
- Visual themed toys.
- A visual theme or accessory you could add to your mount/mounts.
I know that’s a ton of work. Some of the assets are already in game, but only work for offhands, maybe make them available for main hand or to replace the 2h mog.
Idk just throwing ideas out there.

I would say combine it with the pet battle event on rotation and have it up monthly.

That event is entirely rigged in favor of guild groups. Free transmog and barber shop use are the only good things about it.
All the time would cause burn out pretty damn quickly.
I think it should just be changed to quarterly instead of semiannual.

Yeah I know, pray for luck and all that or make your own group to cheese it… Would much rather have a more fair run at things.

Removing the ability to queue up in groups might fix the rigging, though I’m not sure how folks would respond to that.

I REALLY love this idea. A lot. IMO transmog could have so much content surrounding it.

I don’t care if that makes people mad. It would be a huge QOL change to ToS to bar people from group joining. I’m so sick of the cheating.
Another thing they could do is you can’t group queue unless you have 6 people.

Wow, I didn’t even know you could even group queue. That should be gotten rid of, but they’ll probably just get in disc and queue up at the same time like they do for bgs.
