I’ve played on Moon Guard for a very long time. The better part of two decades. Now for most of that time, all the “problems” were kept in Goldshire. They didn’t bother us SFW RPers and we didn’t bother them. However as of late, the infection has spread and I cannot even portal to Stormwind without seeing horrible, vile things even with TRP’s filter feature.
In the past three weeks, I have seen dozens of level 1-4 Trial accounts with blatent, disgusting racial slurs for names, foul language in their profiles and OOC info and more everywhere in Stormwind. The Auction House, The Bank. Lion’s Rest. The Portal room. They are everywhere.
Trial accounts should not be rolling on RP realms. They do nothing but let people create disgusting, ERP centered alts that dehumanize with fetishy themes. I worry the outbreak may cause a similar “Roblox” situation to occur if it goes mainstream just how bad it really is.
Edit: For those who wills ay report them to Blizzard! I have. Every time. I sit in a 2-14 day queue. get an automated response and then see the SAME character with the SAME profile untouched after a week.

Pretty sure there’s a built in report function inside RP Addons as of a couple expansions ago. Shouldn’t be any queue at all. If there is, it sounds like you’re in the wrong place to be making these kinds of reports.
One of my friends kid is now 14 and started WoW up with his dad on Moon Guard. I know “Think of the kids!” is an AWFUL argument but in this case, just simply axing the trials on these small handful of realms would save a lot of headache if the current climate of “Government says it’s time we add online ID to everything bad.”
All it takes is one mom seeing it on her kid’s screen and screaming at their senator.
You don’t really get much of a response for the appropriate ticket to report bad TRP content. Make sure that you’re writing the OOC name and server of the character that you saw, and to specifically explain that you’re reporting the content of their TRP3 addon, and include a screenshot of said content. They can’t pull what you can see from your report and if it’s missing any of that information there’s not much they can do.
That having been said, I haven’t seen any of that happening in Stormwind. And I’m there a lot? There’s always occasional trolls, but I haven’t seen any kind of flood of inappropriate or trolling content myself.
Clicking it takes you to the Blizzard Ticket website. It has a specific category for “Addon Abuse” But it takes days to respond every time. There is no Right click option for it.
And I still would report right click for Disruption. And no change.
How do you know these characters are on trial accounts? It’s just as likely it’s an alt of someone with a full account. Not sure there’s a good solution other than attempting to implement a better character name filter. Preventing someone on a trial from legitimately trying the realm probably isn’t a great solution. Can’t really think of any other instances where Blizzard’s spoiled the bunch due to a few bad apples.

It’s not the duty of everyone else to sanitize areas just because children might enter them, it’s the duty of parents to keep their kids out of unsanitized areas.
Oh, okay. I figured it would have been built in like everything else. That’s a pretty shoddy implementation for something Blizzard essentially forced onto addon creators (for good reason, but still).
The game is rated Teen. You can get muted and banned for saying a curseword in chat.
This is something that only improves the health of the game for RPers long term and is a reasonable request to not want to just be hit with an all caps hard R word when I accidentally mouse over someone teleporting to Stormwind.
