It’s not that I can’t do the quest, or that the quest itself is broken, it’s that the quest doesn’t show up to be taken at all.
I’m sitting 225/225 Expert First Aid, but the Doctor at Theramore Castle has no quest for me at all so I can’t progress to Artisan. Are there some hidden additional steps? I checked out multiple other older forum posts, WoWHead, and players ingame and nobody has mentioned anything so I can only assume it’s bugged.
Anyone know how I can fix this or if I’m missing anything?
Not sure? Last I spoke to any FA trainer proper was at 150 when I picked up Silk Bandages maybe an hour or so ago. I need to go back to a capital city and learn something from an FA trainer and THEN go back to Theramore?
Been running around like a madman teleporting to cities and back searching for a pre-quest or something and flying back to Theramore over and over, /reload-ing the UI and rebooting the game. Nothing is working.
Sorry I didn’t respond, but did you specifically go to IF’s First Aid NPC? Like, face to face? If you’re at 225/225, and at the appropriate level (if this is your character you are definitely there), she should offer the breadcrumb.
If you’re lvl 35+ and 225/225 First Aid, just sit in Theramore on the NPC for a bit. You can’t do the quest while someone else is doing it, and iirc the other person doing the quest doesn’t appear on your screen because of phasing or something.
The other thing to consider is if you out level the quest by a significant margin it won’t appear as yellow dot on mini map, and I’m fairly certain you won’t see the exclamation mark above the quest givers head.
Whether quest giver is breadcrumb guy or artisan first aid person I cannot tell you.
There are 2 ways of dealing with low level quest givers. First is you go I to interface settings and toggle on “show low level quests” the other way is, if you know who gives the quest, right click on them, and it will bring up speech bubble with all the outstanding quests you wouldn’t otherwise see.
They may have done this at some point later, but in Classic this is not the case. In fact, if you’re on the quest, other players who are not on the quest and just standing there can bandage your patients with their own normal bandages to help you beat it.
^^ This. I did the Triage quest today, but someone else was doing it while I was and I had to wait for him to finish before the quest giver would let me turn it in. As soon as the other person finished, the question mark popped up and I could turn it in.
I’m guessing it’s the same if you’re trying to pick the quest up. I could see the other person doing the quest, but layers were recently removed on my realm.
