Treants not taunting anymore

As of today my treants don’t taunt anything. I don’t know what’s caused it and I can’t fix it. Anyone else ever have this problem? I tried swapping talents back and forth, I tried swapping specs back and forth, nothing fixes it. They just do not cast taunt on anything anymore. I don’t know what to do.

I ran with a boomy earlier last night.
The treants did taunt on some pulls but not others. This was Necrotic Wake.
It was super confusing to us both because that’s one of the ways I drop my necrotic stacks.
There was also some other weird threat issues I’ve never encountered before.

we decided to use it in plaguefall (at the request of the tank) and the treants were taunting in there, and we didn’t have any issues.

we ran a DH tank, so it was super easy for us to drop stacks, and double pull packs. This was Tuesday Night/Wed. Morning though, so I’ll have to keep an eye when I run some later. Do you recall which mobs they were on specifically?

Treants will only taunt mobs that are in the area of the circle you cast them in. If you target the cast away from the mobs that you are fighting, they will assist you but not taunt.

Treants also seem to not taunt at all in the stitchflesh floor in NW no matter what you do.

Was it after the second boss in the necropolis that it wasn’t working? I know frost mages and dks have A LOT of problems with spells not hitting in there.

Patch notes today…

-Force of Nature (Talent) correctly taunts nearby enemies when cast on an elevator or transport.

I can’t remember there being an elevator or transport in necrotic wake though.

Nice, so that must have been the trigger that was breaking them. The necropolis in Necrotic Wake has the same coding as an elevator or transport. This can be seen with other issues such as blink and soulshape if you are using the momentum based one.

bring back the old treants imo

The necropolis is very likely a transport. …It just doesn’t move.

Do they taunt mobs that are inspired? I know normal tank taunt works but I heard a boomy mention that in a run earlier
