Im new to play and been playing hunter, Ive seen other hunters lay traps while fighting but im not able to do so , is there a trick to this? Advice would be helpful and appreciated.
Probably feign death
Make sure you have them keybinded if you don’t already. That way when you’re moving its just trap key + click area to throw. There’s probably a macro that throws it where you have your cursor without having to click.

Also i tried FD , but i think pet keeps me in combat. Not sure.
You have to make a macro to feign death and put your pet in passive to lay the trap
This. You have to pull your pet back so it isn’t attacking in order to fully drop combat.
