the top parsing hunters run a parsing spec and forgo raid utility for personal damage, thats pretty simple. You would drop any talents that don’t boost your personal dps, which guess what removes alot of the utility a hunter brings for raid, like rejuv, entrapment or SV or in general going MM for the AP buff. Could I parse 100’s if i wanted to and decided to focus on my dps and not help the team? Sure I could, but that makes me a terrible team member, because hunter isn’t a top DPS spec anyway, and our value currently is in utility, so any hunter that focuses soley on his personal parse isn’t actually being a good team player plain and simple, But again you don’t hunter you mage.
