Why do people sell Arcanite Bar transmutes for 5 gold…when they could just make a bar and sell it for 50 gold??? Just curious.
The materials may be hard to collect and they have no desire to farm them, so why let the cd go to waste?

They don’t have a crystal and don’t want to risk flipping it. If it doesn’t sell or the market suddenly sinks, they could lose their investment. There’s zero risk in offering up your transmute CD.
because 5g a day, for “nothing” is better than 0 gold a day if u dont have time to farm/buy a crystal/etc.
many people also level alchemy just to sell arcanite transmutes on alts. i multibox 5 shaman and they all have arcanite transmutes. i craft arcanite bars as i find crystals from mining/cheap deals, but otherwise i am selling them every day for a free 25g each morning i log in.
Everytime I look on the AH. bars + arcane crystal purchases, then transmuting them and reselling gains me 3.5g to maybe 4g. when I can just sell my transmute @ 5g
