Happenstance (RNG) never produces “fair” results for everyone. Hence why the world is the way that it is.
I had the same thing happened on one of my transmute masters, then i hit a x2 / x3 back to back. Hang in there. Definitely not worth it though if you only have one toon =P
I’ll pick flasks or potions for my alchemists… Much better chance for making money.

Thats why I rolled potion mastery on my alchy.
yeah transmute mastery just seems dumb, you only get 1 proc chance every 20 hours
I’ve been making a primal might every single day since I learned xmute mastery in week 1 of tbc… So far I’ve gotten a total of four x2 procs… which means I just barely proc’d back the primal mights I needed to even become a xmute master hahah
On RNGesus’ bell curve; For every person that procs every craft there will be one that never does.

It’s very simple math.
Transmute mastery sucks because you only use it like once a day. Anything you make in greater volume is going to pay off more.

You can do the other mastery quests and change for a fee of 150g.
oh wow that’s pretty cool. I didn’t know you could do a 150g respec. might switch to potions sometime.
I mean I would say it depends on what you’re doing (a little bit), but you’re just playing the risk game at that point. If you don’t care about raiding then the benefit of elixir/potion is a bit less relevant. The reason I went elixir is simply because I want more elixirs for less crafting rather than worrying about profit margins.
Really the only reason to go xmute spec is if you happened to be someone who ran like 4+ alchemists from Classic. Get yourself your elixir and potion mastery alchemists and then every other one you make might as well go xmute because there is no point in having either of those doubled up.

If you want to go transmute mastery it is objectively better to go this route rather than the actual transmute quest. I agree though that the other two are more lucrative.
