This patch fixed the character select screen not showing transmogs of characters on different realms, but it still shows incorrect version of individual pieces of gear.
Example: transmog is a full heroic tier set, but on the transmog screen it displays the lfr color chest, 1 normal color shoulder, 1 heroic color shoulder, lfr color boots, etc.
When you log into the character and then log out it “fixes” the problem for a bit, bit after exiting the game or being on a different character for a while it loses the correct transmog and displays the miss matched set pieces again.

Bumping to add that since the reset/update yesterday the character select screen is even more buggy than it was.
Several characters that have looked fine since the new transmog system launched are now showing mismatched tier set colors on the character select screen using the same transmogs they’ve had the entire time.
I’ve also noticed that if your character select transmog uses a two hander (like an artifact staff) but your in-game transmog uses a main/offhand you’ll load into the game showing both your main/offhand AND have the artifact staff on your back at the same time, and it’ll stay like that until you swap transmogs and then swap back. 
Another bump to say I’m having the exact same issues as Drave in 12.0.5
Edit: It looks like there’s something going on on blizzard’s end, not the client. all of my mogs are appearing correctly after I got wrongly banned for “cheating” today. I appealed and was immediately unbanned, and everything suddenly looks right on character select screen for the first time since midnight launched. doubt it will last, though.
Transmogs displayed on Character Select Screen have been broken since Midnight Pre-Patch, when the new mog system was implemented.
It’s been MONTHS with zero acknowledgement of the issue. What happened to Warbands being a major evergreen feature?
If I wanted to look like a clown, I’d play Classic. Please fix it!
