I recently leveled a goblin rogue through their old starter zone and found tons of new white gear transmogs I didn’t have before. This got me wondering if there’s other unlocks in these closed starter zones that I might not have.
I was considering leveling characters of each armor type through the zones, and I’m curious if anyone has done this since the change too grey/white transmogs? Would it be worth it or are the appearances available elsewhere?
There were a few wowhead articles when the transmog options for white/gray items became available. I don’t know how much comes from the whole zone, but it may be worth it to try. I was planning to create one of each class (where relevant) to get the starter gear and then have one of each armor type (that would cover all weapons) to go through the zone. It’s on my list but haven’t gotten to it yet.
I’ve run a panda of each armor type through their starting zone and it is really worth it. There are three outfits in each armor type and the 2 handed sword model is a stand out.
If you had any of the early armor from quest rewards, you might have them already put into your wardrobe, but I don’t know about the actual starting outfits, especially for goblins and worgen.
I’ve started to level characters through original starting zones to get gear unlocks I didn’t have before. I leveled a worgen warrior through their zone and am now working on a blood elf mage. It’s a little painful not getting green or higher gear until a higher level than Exile’s Reach, but it’s worth it.
