Transmog Warglaives

You mean, aside from the fact that they were iconic for rogues, just like meta was iconic for demo warlocks?

Iconic from a gameplay standpoint from Rogues getting the priority for Warglaives during TBC despite Warriors making just as much use out of it? Sure, but even Combat rogue still relied on assassination tactics fantasy-wise, I don’t know about you, but I imagine Warglaives to be quite clunky when you try to get out of stealth and get someone by surprise.

As for Meta which I assume you only brought it up because of my class, I don’t know, it was Warcraft’s 3 Demon Hunter’s ultimate, so I am guessing that when DHs were cut out for the original launch, they added the ability for Warlocks during Wrath because it was the closest thing they had to a Demon Hunter.

I want rogues and warriors to be able to wield warglaives if it means more warglaives (and this warglaive models) on the loot table.

Who gets to decide which fantasy a rogue may or may not have? If a rogue has the wrong fantasy - which actually used to be the right fantasy before retconning this - do you take it upon yourself to deprogram them not to care?

I don’t care about old warcraft games you used to play as a little kid. Go play a single player game if they’re so great.

Illidan gained Metamorphosis by taking the power in the skull of Gul’dan for himself.
The power of the skull.
The skull of a Warlock.
Even lacking eyes I trust thou canst see whither I am going with this.

If having players is inconvenient, perhaps the devs should just shut down the game. Would that make you happier? People who don’t play the game won’t complain, and there will always be people you are desperately unhappy with if you need to go back 2 decades to find a justification for removing this from rogues.

literally every significant night elf lore character uses glaives… Maiev, Tyrande (she literally killed Nathanos with glaives), Illidan (before he was a demon), etc,

The crescent moon shaped glaives are literally the signature/hallmark glaives of the night elves… they even have literal glaive tossing siege vehicles (that goes to show just how much they use glaives)

Where said I aught about Rogues?

I mean, who gets to decide which fantasy a rogue may or may not have? Or a Demon Hunter may or may not have.
Clearly Blizzard, you countered yourself in your own reply by insinuating that the Warcraft 3’s fantasy is not the fantasy you like, therefore is wrong, the same problem you had with my argument.

Yeah… But it was the power of an extremely Fel infused Warlock that gave the power to Illidan or the power of an Warlock extremely infused by Fel?

What I am getting at is that was it absorbing heavy amounts of Fel energy that turned Illidan into his constant Metamorphosis or was the power of a powerful Warlock? I believe the first one, considering the playable Demon Hunters learned their Metamorphosis from two things - Power within from absorbing Demons essences along the way and knowledge from the Imp mother. But if anything, both should have, considering a strong lore Warlock like Gul’dan achieved Metamorphosis in Nighthold.

They both ought indeed. Why Activision thought otherwise I cannot fathom.

Incorrect. Illidan became half demon because of the fel in the skull, due to the fact that it was turned into basically a fel totem, channelling a boatload of fel.

Trolls use Glaives too, hello?

Shadow hunters have them, Vol’Jin, Rokhan and plenty other NPCs.

As do Troll Shadow Hunters. Though they generally only use one. Vol’Jin and Rokhan both can be seen with them.

Fel that I don’t doubt was in no small part present and so potent because their chosen vessel was a powerful Warlock, for Warlocks are nothing if not wielders thereof.
Regardless it stands to reason that any practitioner of Fel magic should have the capacity to mutate - to metamorphose - as had Illidan and Kanrethad by virtue of their chosen art.

Kanrethad went crazy, as most do, and got himself banished. Illidan barely controlled it at first, as well. Two thirds of those who attempt the rituals to become Demon Hunters end up dead from going crazy due to all of that Fel.

Warlocks aren’t getting it back. It wasn’t theirs to begin with and they never should’ve had it either. They aren’t infused with Fel, they only weild it.

But I digress. This is off topic, so I’ll stop. Hehe

If though wishest, though history stands in opposition thee to.
He. He.

Truem you are completly rigth. I forgot about voljin lol

To be fair, since only elves can be DHers, glaives are an elf thing… just not an every elf thing.

Cause only demon hunters have made the necessary sacrifice to swing a stupid stick sword around. Everyone else would rather be effective in combat.

The only reason they’re transmogable by only Demon Hunters is back before all legendaries were allowed to be transmogable, the Warglaives of Azzinoth were made to be an exception through an achievement.

When they eased up on the legendary restrictions they decided since the Warglaives of Azzinoth were achievement restricted then they should stay that way, it wouldn’t be fair otherwise to those who completed the achievement.

  • They are not Demon Hunter only because it’s “How it should be” that’s just wrong.
  • They could replace the reward for the achievement for something that’s Demon Hunter exclusive, but they won’t.
  • Unless they change their stance on the achievement we’re out of luck.
