How you discuss it on the thread you are right it is impossible to make everyone happy. Because you thinking inside the box called “retail transmog”. Now if you read my comment Transmog should be there in TBC no matter what - #151 by Jacksparrow-whitemane
You will see that it isn’t that difficult to give crowd which doesn’t want transmog a way to disable it and see everyone as they are, at same time those who want transmog still can have it.
Because it is just couple if statements on a client. It isn’t as complex as you imagining it. I don’t know why you think this requires a lot of time to implement.
It’ll still have an impact on the players behavior in-game.
Some we’ll try to get loot just for the appereance, some item will cost more, again, just for the appereance.
It’s something i figured in 2min so maybe some others here may think of something else too.
So, no it won’t have 0 impact on the game.
You can still look cool in TBC. Want to look cool ? Get a full tier and stick with it.
I’m sure if we both sat and thought for a bit, we could come up with a number of things in-game that seemed simple but didn’t work right.
I’m not a programmer by trade, but I do some on the side. I know enough to know that seemingly simple scripts tend to be less simple when you try to run them with other things.
Many of us lobbied hard for years to get Blizzard to give us an official classic version. I for one don’t want Classic polluted with a bunch of retail type mods. Leave Classic alone. No changes.
They might as well MTX Transmog, more mounts aside the blinkstalker, unlimited boosts, wow tokens, barber shop and dual spec.
If they are going to monetize and MTX the game, might as well go full ham and get Bobby a second Yacht for his bonus this year.
I’m right there with ya’, but that ship has hard sailed with the boosts and all these little changes they are doing in the beta.
So just make the retail babies happy and give in to the MTX whales. Pre-patch will be fun and then those of use who wanted “classic” can go right back to true vanilla era servers or pservers for TBC.
PLZ no plz no plz no . Make it chose if you implement i dont wanna see cosmetic i wanna know if someone is gear or not visualy my character look terrible and i dont care since when i blow people up they dont care ether
It might hurt people who get made fun of for bad tmog.
I kind of agree, but feel bad about it for some reason. Lol.
“Sure but let us hide their transmog and purposely let me look at their horrible mis-match armour.” You guys are something else for real.
Classic gear is all about stats - the classic game was not dress-up.
Not really why I play but you go ahead.
Adding, no we don’t need that cata feature in BC.
You already have a game that you can do it in.
Go play it.
TBC also didn’t have boosting, yet here we are.
You guys are fine with one thing, but not with another, and that said one thing that doesn’t involve us shelling out more money lmao ok.
transmog is trash
if want good looking grear then\stop leaching off others work
go earn it
To be fair, these Forums have been a whinefest AGAINST the Boost, but you know, let’s just sweep that under the rug.
Blizz making one mistake doesn’t justify another.
Transmog is one of the many reasons I don’t play retail.
Transmog is a mid-to-late Cata feature.
This comment, and those like it, continue to make absolutely zero sense.
If you see me running around in matching T4… I had to earn that T4 and associated gear pieces. It isn’t like you just get to xmog into whatever you want.
Says the pure class who could actually wear their full tier gear if they wanted and not actually miss out on much…
