Why would it hurt if class tier sets can be used by anyone? Maybe once it comes from “Legacy” content?
<< I am already a Shaman who looks like a Demon Hunter or a Warlock, so like, class fantasy is gone
And who cares what armor type you are, anything should be up for wearing!

Mail user over here trying to sneak into the better looking armor types. Don’t fall for it.

Hunters could at one point opt to not never go mail. It was a choice at 40.
Leather was viable after. Tank in dungeon, pet tank solo open world. Or you have no mail in the bags and AH jsut sucked for prices lol.

Agree that mail is generally bad but there has been quite some eye candy sets in my opinion. Nighthold hunter set, Black Temple shaman set, etc.

We had multiple raid tiers where the armor sets were just type specific, not class specific. And people hated it and demanded class sets came back. And so they did.
Turns out it’s most players

The arathi mail set. I’d argue it’s one of the best in the game.

It doesn’t considering off-set pieces exist…

I’m gaming in the past so can’t say I been keeping up with TWW in such details.
I bought TWW and I saw Draenei can be warlock and I was like W T F at first but then I saw new costumizations like red skin and I was like ok not bad!
I got level 23 and tried to do a dragon quest where I need to fly through rings and I gave up.

I will never, ever understand the hate for hunter tier sets.
They are hit or miss just like everyone else’s.

I’m pretty sure this ship officially sailed when they made that Trading Post/Shop Dalaran set (High Scholar Regalia?) Which is basically a mage tier set that can be worn by anyone. The Logosh and Dark Ranger attires continued the trend.
I don’t like the idea, but the barrier is so permeable now that maintaining it serves no purpose. So just get rid of it.

It surely does but… I’ll abstain further comments.

No no no! Allowing something ridiculous like allowing plate wearers to mog cloth items would completely ruin the immersion I feel while in a dungeon with people wearing murloc pajamas and Sailor Moon magical girl outfits!

We can’t have warlocks running around looking like priests or something insane like that!

If i am raiding and after a particular clas tier set and I end up getting say mage or warrior, I would be livid lol
Dont you think it would look a bit weird for a Mage to be dressed in plate?
Now, if they could create a Battlemage spec that does indeed wear plate and uses strength to bolster its spellcasting, that could be kind of cool.

i’d love to use the goblin heritige set on my engineer belf, at least for that shoulder with the little rocket on it. it’d be perfect this tier!!

I don’t think everyone needs to be able to use everything, but I sure do wish Plate classes could use mail classes and mail could use leather… Sometimes I wanna make my characters look like how I leveled them. But I can’t. =(

You mean to tell me that my fugly manly man of a kul tiran warrior wielding two massive swords can look like a magical girl, but can’t wear a robe because someone can’t differentiate between me and the mage 30 yards back casting spells? (A legit argument I have seen before trying to justify armor class separation)
