Why when you attempt to use someone else’s Grand Expedition Yak do they either demount it or run away immediately??

Because like 90% of people who are mounting it are using it to transmog and they just move on when they’re done. Or if they don’t dismount, they’re just absentmindedly doing whatever. They’re not providing a service, they bought it because it’s convenient for them.
Do not use other peoples’ Yaks for long-term transmog creation. Use them for preset outfits you’ve already made. Otherwise you’re just asking to get interrupted / lose your progress.

The same reason why if you want to get a brutosaur out of the way that you try to use the AH vendor. People tend to be selfish. Now some just so happen to not know youre there and run off to do something else. But when they run off 10 feet or just start hoping around, theyre being jerks.

Have you… not seen how bored MMO players operate? People run and jump around aimlessly ALL THE TIME. The fact that THEY spent 5 million gold on a mount does not entitle you to them rooting themselves to the ground indefinitely.
For anything that you aren’t immediately able to knock out in about 5 seconds or less, either get your own mount or head to the permanent NPCs so you aren’t interrupted. It’ll just save you headache.
No one buys these mounts to provide a service, and that’s not being selfish.
Buy one it is the reins of the grand expedition yak, 120k gold worth it

Or…! We don’t you’re there abs are just messing around in game. Maybe try saying something next time. “Saimeren, I’m using your transmog mount. Let me know when you’re done and I’ll save.”
Never said they did. I have the yak mount and might sneak onto someone’s Bruto if theyre there and I just need 1-2 things. Im never loading up my auctions or whatever. I have a bank alt for that.
If they run off, whatever. Ill just go to another AH. It was really only an issue in SL when they didnt have an AH in the city anyway.
And if Im on my yak and see someone using it, Ill give them a reasonable time before running off to do something else.

They probably dont even realize someone is using the mount. I never notice when someone is using mine. Anytime I use someone else’s tmog mount i know im running on borrowed time. I’ll just use my own or the tmog toy or one of the portable ones that bfa engineer’s can make to guarantee to finish my mog.
depends on who it is, if its my friend then ill bring out to them if its a stranger ill mess with them a bit overall tho i don’t really notice and i have things to do than wait for someone to tmog
So when I don’t pay attention, because I’m chatting in Discord, and I start to move somewhere, then stop, because I forgot what I was going to do; or if I decided to run around in circles and bounce around while I chat… I’m being a jerk, because someone can’t use the toy nearly everyone got or run up a path to the transmog dude?

Easy answer, mog mounts and AH mounts, people that mount up are using it for them selves and not for you
Obviously falls into “your mileage may vary”. Ive seen some one attempt to use a mount, and the person moves ahead a few feet. The person adjust and the mount move again.
No one is required to do anything. But a little courtesy goes a long way. You know, just be nice to someone. If you want/need to runoff, do whatcha gotta do.
I can say with a decent amount of certainty that most people are. These outlier examples are just that.
This topic comes up at least once or twice a year and the same things are said over and over. We know by now how things really are, as opposed to these rare weird incidents.

Thank you. I’ll get one myself. I was asking because people tended to either run away a few feet and stop and if i moved to them they’d do it again or they would just demount and sit there until I moved away and then remounted it. I figured it was probably a “This is my mount for my use, not yours for yours.” kinda thing. But I’ll buy my own and if people want to use than they can.

Because i’m not gona spend my time waiting for you to finish your mog.
I think if someone else uses your mount vendors you should get a cut of the cost.
It would be nice if the longboi could pay for itself!! But honestly most of us don’t notice you’re using it and just move on. 
If I’m on the mount and I see someone walk up to use it, I try to give them a reasonable amount of time to use it. But I’m not about to sit there for 15 minutes waiting for them to finish and leave.
