You speak for NO-ONE save yourself. The rest can make their own opinions.
We will get more of that because that’s how Blizzard has been designing a majority of their gear. At the end of the day, you are worrying way too much about how other players MIGHT enjoy their hypothetical transmog options.
You could at least come up with a half decent compromise suggestion, like cloth can wear leather, plate can wear mail, ect.
Well, you are just lying, or lying to yourself. All the gear that we see (or at least almost) that we get from level 110 to level 120, they match with the material that is crafted. Plates armors looks like made of metal, cloth armors looks like made of …cloth, obviously, and so on. There are exceptions? Of course, allways there are, but they are not the rule.
No, I’m not lol. Even people who don’t care about transmog complain about most armor pieces looking like plate despite it not being plate.
Vile Fumigators Mask. You forgot Vile Fumigators Mask.

Sure! Look at it! They look like delicate cocktail dress made of velvet.
Gratz on cherry picking some outliers? Of course some of the armor is going to look right lol.
Funny enough, the leather warfront set from darkshore looks like a mix of cloth and mail. So GG.
I disagree. More mog freedom for everybody!
I already have a full-plate set I can wear. It’s called the “Stormwind” set from the WoD garrison. I wore it for about a week recently. It can be mogged over ANY armor class. Stop pretending like my transmog choices are going to somehow ruin the game for people who hate change. Nobody ever commented on a Mage wearing a full set of Stormwind Guard plate armor, here or in the game. You wouldn’t even notice and you know you wouldn’t.
Sorry, but as they said: “A picture is worth a thousand words”. And you keep saying and showing nothing, you show no proves. So, GG, better luck in the next match.
There’s really only one restriction I want removed. Please allow us to transmog gray and white armor pieces. Some of those starter area pieces are nice.
As for armor dyes, I feel that is a no-go. The amount of coding that would be required is huge. Every single piece would have to be redone. I can’t begin to imagine the amount of work that would take.
Fix the MoP Legendary cloaks so that when you tmog them, you get the effect. There are lots of pieces of gear which have an illusionary effect which comes and goes and you can tmog those pieces and get those effects.
You mention the ability to toggle tabard bottoms. I’d love to be able to toggle DRESS/ROBE bottoms too.
I can’t include links in my posts. Your laziness does not count as credit in an argument lol. You found those sets, you can find this one.
You sure about that?
Because it seems to me that this would actually be the easiest way they could give us moar tmog options. You wouldn’t have to reprogram every individual piece of armor, just add a shader to the mog NPC. I’m not a programmer but I would think that there is more than one way to skin that cat.
Yes you can. Let me show you how:

Alright then, here ya go:

In fact taking another look, the shoulders even looks like plate. The only thing remotely “leather” about the set is the pants.
I’m really looking forward to the ability to appear as naked as possible. Back to my roots, back to nature! /moo
The easiest transmog fix is to fix the list of mogs such that the filter honors set and difficulty instead of just set.
E.g. Completing a normal set causes the “completed” filter to hide all sets of that tier regardless of difficulty.
I know it seems trivial … but it’s just annoying … and should be fairly low-hanging fruit for them to fix.
I mean, look, if the devs are looking at essentially allowing enough armor pieces to be hidden that you can mog yourself to run around fighting raid bosses in a bikini, then I think the ship has sailed on any argument as to why armor mogs should be restricted to class or weight.
That being said, Dyes are a nice idea, but hugely difficult to implement. You’re looking at overhauling the textures of every piece of gear in the game. (or, adding a new texture layer used as a mask for identifying what is and isn’t dyable and where) and that’s just impractical to ask for at this stage. Blizzard would more or less have to stop all development of any art assets for future content and focus solely on dye textures. And even if they introduced it as a new feature for all armor going forward, think about how many full armor sets BfA got. It’s not as many as you would think. Blizzard just aren’t pumping out gear with unique appearances in large volumes anymore, so your options of dyable gear would be pretty limited for a long time.
That being said, I fully support all of the other ideas. Especially fixing the mog for dual weapons. I really love the Truthguard sword for my Pally, but I hate the shield. I’d love to be able to mog that like I did in Legion.
Oh look, a Mage wearing plate:
