Really looks like this is being aimed at kids more than anything else. I would have loved to see the movie take themes from the video games or other adaptations of before the war. In fact, the most recent animated series on Netflix did this and it was really good.

I’ll probably wait until next week when the crowds die down. I think it’s neat they’re exploring the Pre-war era of Cybertron.

I’ve been going to movies with my mom lately and we’ve seen the trailer a few times. She asked me if I wanted to see it and while the trailer looked fun, I think I’ll just wait to stream it.
On a side note, I’m old enough to have been around for the original cartoon and toys. It was a big part of my childhood and pretty much all of my friends. For the 40th anniversary, this year, they showed some of the early episodes in the movie theater and I went with a few of my childhood friends and their kids. Was kinda fun. The pilot episode had a split screen with actors doing a table read. Pretty cool seeing Peter Cullen and Frank Welker up there.

I saw it an it was way better than I was expecting. It’s mostly a kids movie but I enjoyed it anyway
Also it has mid credits and a after credits stinger so stick around you wanna see em
