Transferring isn’t an option

Transferring isn’t an option for people on Arugal. Taking aside the
‘we don’t want to leave our community’ elements, we haven’t had free transfers offered off our realm since last year. Plus, the gates aren’t open on any other server but ours. Cynically, I’d say offering transfers is just a money grab from blizz.

Let’s just say, conservatively, that each player in my guild wanted to transfer their bank and main (not even including multiple 60 alts most have). At $25 per transfer, that’s $50 each. ~80 raiders at $50 each is $4,000 total.

Why on earth would we pay this awful company any more money, when they can’t even competently manage their servers? Not only have they caused this problem, but now they’re also actively ignoring it.

Blizzard, pull your heads in and #layerarugal.

Are you sure about that?

On OCE? Yeah. Second server will open theirs later this week.

so then the best alternative option will have them open in a few days

So you’re suggesting we should pay blizz $4k so that we can move from a full realm, to a high pop realm, just to continue to play?

Real sustainable and sensible solution there, champ.

If Blizzard offered you them for free would you take them?

If we did, and a bunch of others did too, we’d only be shifting the problem from Arugal to Yojamba.

It’s a moot point anyway, like I said, we haven’t been offered free transfers since last year.

It was offered to other servers in a similar situation several months ago and it very well may be offered again shortly considering the forum outcry that occurred just prior to them getting the transfers is precisely what is occurring with Argual right now.

Last time Arugal had queues like this (May 2020), they just turned on layering, and we were all able to play. Things had been fine ever since. Are layers the best? No. But they’re a lot better than missing raid lockouts cause you can’t log on.

There was no reason to turn layers off, and the reason provided by blizz (“safe to delayer”) is simply nonsense.

Again, I highly doubt Blizzard is going to offer free transfers from a full pop realm to a high pop realm and that would only shift the problem.

Read the rest of the post, and try engaging with it rather than an out of context quote, genius.

Sounds like you had an opportunity then but declined to take it. Decisions have consequences.

You’re right. I should have foreseen, in November last year, that Blizzard would make a foolish decision in August 2020 and put us all in 5 hours queues. I was so stupid and short sighted!

This right here is an awfully uneducated response, on a matter that is highly discussed right now. Surely, out of all these discussion threads you’re not this behind still are you?

There’s literally 8 countries that were forced into one realm on launch day, and we have not been offered any transfers since September.

In fact - Blizzard is STILL allowing people to transfer to Arugal.

Arugal IS the home on OCE that is currently receiving constant transfers from all other dying OCE communities.

Honestly, please stop with these stupid responses.

dying? Yojamba has more than 3 times the population of my server and my server is far from dying.

Yojamba isnt an option. The Arugal queue will not fit. That and the two servers are quite hostile towards each other, and nobody wants to leave the community they’ve spent a year and 4/6 phases with.

Sounds like a personal problem and nothing but a bunch of entitlement. I read all of your pathetic post and the point still stands.

You’re dealing with a queue that basically 99.9% of the classic server player base has gone through which some of them have even gone through 15 years ago as well (or even with other MMORPGs).

If you don’t like it ether deal with it, transfer off, start on a different server or quit. No one is forcing you to stay on that server “but but meh guild”, it’s a damn guild not a job.

Its starting to get some more traction outside the forums so hopefully Blizzard will address the problem soon

Yeah it’s a sense of entitlement, because we are… Well, at this point, were, paying customers.

We’re entitled the the gaming experience we have enjoyed since classic was released.

Blizzard may have quite a strong EULA, unfortunately since they trade in Australia, it doesn’t have a leg to stand on if push comes to shove.

You Americans may let big business walk over you as much as they like. But here in Australia, we tend to fight for what we want.

People hate queues so much they would still rather transfer to a full server than play on theirs?
