Transferring characters between accounts

As an owner of two accounts, I think you should be able to transfer characters between two accounts for the sake of convenience. I just bought a 2nd account and having to re-level an alt from 1 to 60 is extremely time consuming. I understand the abuse that could go behind this game feature, so perhaps a reasonable cool-down or other requirements, i.e has to be certain level and such, could help alleviate this potential issue.

If you pay for, and own, two accounts, you should be able to move a character of your choosing for whatever it is you wish to do, because we’re paying for it. If anyone feels the same or has rebuttals to this topic please upvote or comment for feedback. I’d really like for blizzard to see this as a possible game feature in WoW Classic, since I believe it is a feature in Retail already.

Dual botting happened.

Yeah it needs to be implemented.

Pretty sure this was a thing in the past, but yeah they need to bring this out with the BWL patch

tbh id also like that idea. im also playing two accounts (not at the same time) and im sure in the future i want to have specific characters on my main acc because there i have the CE pets.

Why? Why should you be able to do this?

You mean you purchased a 2d copy of WoW, and started a second subscription? Why? What was your purpose, since you knew you cannot do this.

Why do you want to transfer a character from your other account to this account? What will you do with it, that you can’t do with it where it is? You have not listed a single reason why anyone would want to do this. Saying “because I should” is not a reason.

It does feel like blizz is holding my 60 alt hostage for an extra sub each month.

As long as the wow accounts are bound to the one battlenet account, I don’t see an issue. Transferring between our own accounts on the ONE battlenet account should be implemented, at some stage.
I remember doing it in tbc/wrath on completely separate accounts, as long as the name of the account holder was the same and could verify it was yours. I’m assuming it would have been the case in vanilla as well.

I think it was allowed in vanilla but unsure exactly when account transfers actually were allowed. If it was in vanilla it should be in classic.

Because I pay for it, is a good enough reason. A GM recommended I make a post about this including this feature in the game. If enough people want it, then it should be a feature in the game. Clearly, if you can read, people want it to be a feature in the game.

Sooo let me clear this up.

You feel players should be able to sub another account, maybe 5 accounts total. Multi box 5 toons to 60 then transfer them all onto a single account? Or possibly the window to easily selling max level toons multi boxed on the black market?

Please tell me I’m not the only one who sees a problem here.

Umm? These accounts would all be linked to the one battlenet account so thats not possible.
There’s no issue here.
And besides, whats the difference between this and whats on retail? Nothing, thats what.

Come on blizzard. A lot of people would like the luxury of being able to move characters around on different accounts.

This needs to be a thing

So, you think that is the criteria for Blizzard changing games? How many is “a lot of people”, when you have 3,000,000 customers. And since when did “players would like” become a game design rule?

Classic WoW wasn’t meant to be convenient. You’re hoping to have another lvl 60 by boosting it with your main, skipping the jouney that leads to the destination, and then pay to have it moved to the same character selection screen as your main as if you had leveled it there. What you’re wanting is to pay extra for a quick max lvl toon. Sound familiar? Like paying for a max lvl character in retail, maybe?

No, Classic WoW isn’t meant to be pay-to-win despite what you and other retail players want…sadly, I’m sure Blizzard will listen to your cries and you’ll get your account transfers soon enough. Once Classic becomes retail with micro transactions and the re-release of old Xpacks like TBC and WotLK, Blizzard can just start the whole thing over with WoW Classic 2 in 2030…

Side note: Why would you even want to quickly have another lvl 60? The best part of Classic WoW is the journey there. Once you get to 60, you’ll just make another post complaining that there isn’t enough content to do and you’ll ask for the next patch to release.

IE: He did want to be bothered with your inane complaining/arguing so he slipped you their go-to “get this mouth breather of my screen” response, and you bought it all the way. :+1:

Account to account transfers existed in vanilla.

? lol. dont comment if you dont have anything good to say. good bye.

This needs to happen. I just want to be able to farm gold on my mage while waiting for these abominable AV ques on my warrior. I already have 2 accounts for the purpose of resetting dungeons, why not let me xfer my mage to my 2nd account?
