Essentially the title - wondering if it’s possible to have a classic character transferred from one WoW account to another all within the same Battle.net account. I don’t see why I shouldn’t be able to do this but haven’t found the option as of yet and cant contact support proper.
As far as I know, you cannot. Characters can only be moved around between servers on the same WoW license; even if they all share the same battlenet account.

It is not possible to transfer a Wrath of the Lich King Classic character to another WoW account or Battle.net account.

Hear me out… They state “Can not transfer to a different WoW Account”
However, Mounts, Pets, BOA’s, and Mail perks for being on the same account apply to WoW2 characters like WoW1 characters. As long as they are Linked accounts.
For instance, the Shoulder enchant from Sons of Hodir… can go from WoW1->WoW2 characters. Which those are “Bound on Account”, however, if you had a non-linked WoW1->WoW2 account (which I’ve seen someone that had an unlinked account) they don’t
Furthermore, if you purchase a character transfer, boost, race change. The token applies to both accounts.
However, I just think it’s kind of silly that they wouldn’t make this particular thing a reality xD I understand that it’s not a thing, but it 100% should be. Granted I think in Cata is when they added the cross-account stuff… =S Maybe it’s coming.
Linked accounts are still separate licenses(accounts) of the game and no, they aren’t going to change the rules for you. Things you buy on your battlenet account are different. You buy a service like a character transfer with your battlenet account(think of it like a voucher) and then apply it to a wow account contained within it. Your battlenet account is an umbrella account that contains all your individual licenses for your games.

Then BOA items should not go across accounts. Pets, mounts, and toys should not share across accounts. It’s “Bound on Account” not BOB “Bound on Battle.net”
Yeah they have a few weird rules about it and a lot of that was carry over from back before bnet was a thing and some of that stuff is “grandfathered” in basically. If you have a suggestion or feedback, present it to them via the proper channels. The forums aren’t for that.

I’m not saying they should change the rule for me. They should change the rule, because rules that don’t make sense should be changed. So many things in Classic are FAR from classic! Such as the mounts sharing across characters… that wasn’t brought out until prepatch to WoD yet here it is in classic.
The Forums are for discussion. I’m using it to discuss this particular thing about this particular thread that has affected at least one person other than myself. I’m doing so because this topic interested me. Which happens to be exactly what a forum is for xD
I think Pawgwalker meant the tech support forum isn’t the proper channel. You should feel welcome to discuss it in General Discussion as a feedback post
