Basically, BOTH copies were locked. You had to choose to unlock BC you, first or Vanilla you, first. Whichever one you did NOT unlock first was the one you had to pay money for.

Are these the loyal customers who stopped their subscription during the whole of TBC

I’m not gonna call myself a “loyal customer”, but I will say I had my reasons:

-Needed to save money (which means, I didn’t have the money to pay for a Clone)
-I became a new parent and was preparing for my child’s arrival and OFC takes priority.

Unfortunate, but I’m still leveling a new Enchanter.

It’s true I agree it’s a shame blizzard chose to not value their most loyal customers and chose instead to have a minuscule bump in wrath characters for corporate reports and a negligible amount of money

Loyal customer? If you were a loyal customer u would have used the cloning service the 14 months it was around.

I would pay money too! there are many of us who played Vanilla Classic but did not play TBC or Wrath Classic and have our characters stuck on WoTLK. If enough of us can get Blizz attention, they might be able to bring it back. Many of us just have Vanilla Classic items and nothing else so it would not be unfair since they never were logged into the game world on any version other than vanilla classic.
