Transfer Authenticator app to new phone

is there an easy way to do this or do I have to remove the authenticator from my account and readd it on my new phone?

All you will need to do is get the serial number from the previous authenticator on your old phone for you to be able to apply the authenticator to the new phone.

  1. Open the app on your old phone and in top right hand corner you’ll see 3 dots one atop the other.
  2. Touch that and you see a line saying “Serial and Restore”
  3. Hitting that will take you to a page with both a serial number and a restore code.

Now on new phone repeat 1 and 2 on the new phone and enter the serial number and restore code from old phone.
