I will start with I have read and tried all the fixes that blizzard gives on the topic, reset user interface, all addons are deleted and I have uninstalled and reinstalled both wow and battle.net none have worked. My fps stays high 40s to 60(the max I have set). My latency during these issues has never been above 200(low 100s the average). I can play the game all day with no issue If I never leave the current zone I am in as well. The problem is when I change zones or use a portal or any form of a loading screen. The screen will refuse to load and I get to sit and wait till it boots me back. If I fly into a different zone I will get dismounted mid air. Sometimes even when I try to enter world on a character this happens and I get a “World server down” message. I am at my wits end because the game has become all but unplayable. Getting a actual person on a ticket is like pulling teeth so this is my last resort. I will add that I am on a US server(Sentinels).
Hey Kyle! Thanks for reaching out with that information. Since the steps you’ve already tried have had no impact on the issue, there is a good chance that these problems are network-related. Be sure to try power cycling your network devices (modem & router) with these instructions.
If you continue to see that error, in order to clear out any corrupted or stagnate data, we will want to do a DNS flush.
If you continue to get the error, let’s have you run a WinMTR network test while the error happens in-game so that we can further investigate the problem. Here are the instructions:
- Download the tool from this page
- Enter the IP “24.105.30.129” into the “host” field.
- Start the test and play the game for at least 15 minutes. Try to reproduce the problem so that it happens while the winMTR tool is running.
- After recording the problem data, click “export text” and save the winMTR file in an easy to find location.
- Once you have that made, open the file. You’ll need to copy and paste the contents of the Text document into the post, and put four Tilde (~) marks above the winMTR. It’ll look like this:
WinMTR goes here
If you have issues pasting here, please use Pastebin and post the link (ex: Pastebin (dot) com/123456).
Downloaded WinMTR for future use If needed but I seemed to be able to find the solution on my own last night. Turned out to be rather simple, I turned off and back on Browser hardware acceleration in the battle.net settings. Everything seems to be running fine once again in the game.
