Transfer Aborted: Instance Not Found

Multiple times when attempting to cross zones and often when trying to join an instance (Dungeon or Uldir) I get the following error - Transfer Aborted: Instance not found.

This has happened on multiple occassions. Today on my character Alferal I am unable to log back into the server as it states the World Server is down. I am able to log into other characters in the same realm (Shadow Council) and even the same area (Stormsong).

I have tried all the items I’ve found online.

  • /Reload
  • Remove all add ons
  • Run repair install from the Blizzard updater.
  • Remove the wtf, cache folders.
  • No torrents, or other items downloading.
  • Flush the DNS and reboot/restart my modem.
  • Tried both on wireless and wired connections.

I exhibit no other connection issues. Browsing both regular http and secure https with no issues.

I hope you finally got your character to log in.

I saw this error once while I was riding a gryphon flight path crossing from one zone to another last expansion. It knocked me out of wow, then when I logged back on, I was falling from the sky where the taxi had been flying before. I bubbled, naturally, so no harm done.
