Transfer Aborted: instance not found

Occasionally when going through portals, leaving dungeons, hearthing, etc., I am experiencing an error where it says “Transfer Aborted: instance not found”. I’ve gone as far as resetting my interface in the game files, uninstalling all of my addons and addon manager, running a suggested console command, and the problem still persists. I confirmed that guildmate is also experiencing this issue. It is very frustrating and I’m curious if anyone else is having this issue/knows a solution. Cheers.

Yeah, I’m getting the same error pretty frequently, likely something on WoW’s end.

Yeah im just getting it spammed on me and now im 5m deserter and lost over 60 rating

Same, seems almost every other game boots me.

Been having the same issue 2 days in a row now on every toon.

I am also having this issue, Cox Communications ISP., So Cal, Chicago datacenter(Burning Legion). Have not changed anything in router either.

Also have Cox ISP but connected to the San Diego data center.

same issue. also San Diego here

Same issue for me, with a few WOW51900328 errors/disconnects thrown in for good measure. Also San Diego area / Cox cable. Started on Friday for me too. I checked game files / deleted WTF folders (happening in both wotlk classic and SoD) and disabled addons. No other guildies are having problems, but none of them are in the same area.

Same here, also on Cox in San Diego. I was unable to get to Zaralek Cavern until I tried going on foot instead of flying. this may be a workaround, or perhaps just a fluke.

Just did a quick look, all of us are playing on the Chicago data center. Could be a routing issue Cox caused from a change they made.

Just got off the phone with Cox. The guy said that it’s a known issue on Blizzards side, no workaround available. Don’t think he was kicking the can down the road.

Watching this post… me too Cox customer.

Same issue here, also in San Diego. I thought I was going crazy, uninstalled all addons, scan/repair, I tried everything.

I put the cox “tier 2” phone number in the other thread if you want to call them tomorrow.

Not sure where that answer came from. The majority of the people experiencing the problem said they are using Cox services from San Diego. Chicago server and the Level3 peering partner that Blizz uses seem to be working okay over here.

Could you dumb this down a little bit for me? What is a Level3 peering partner, is that Blizzard and if so are you saying Blizzard is officially stating everything is fine on their end? What is an “MVP” on the forum, I have to ask because when I click the link under your name it goes to https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/g/cs-mvp which is a page not found for me?

They are not a blizzard employee, just active on the forums and given green text by a CSR after applying for the position.

It could have just been the employee CYA when I called, I don’t really care. If pointing fingers is how a business wants to act so be it, but the important part is that they are aware it’s an issue.

Would be dope if Blizzard idk, replied to the two threads that are made about this.

Maybe the “MVP interns” could forward it to one of their supervisors for review and/or merge the discussions into a single thread for cohesiveness since it’s the same issue and same post title even
