First thing I’d recommend is to try a Full UI Reset to rule out a faulty UI or Addon causing the aborted instance.

already tried to man

tried litreally everyything

reset my wow interface
disabled my addons
deleted and reinstalled my addons
reset my router
changed my ip
restarted my pc
reinstalled the game
scan and repair wow on bnet client

nothing works man

I know this will sound like me being picky, but if you do the Full UI Reset that I linked, then there would be zero addons to disable. Reinstalling the addons wouldn’t give you a completely stock UI either.

That said, is it only when attempting to join an arena that this happens? Or is it when you try to log into the character from the character selection screen?

i did those things not in that order

i disabled my addons first to see if that will fix it and after that i reset it completely and then i tried resetting my router, iprflush release etc, and then i uninstalled the game

this only ha ppened yesterdy and yes a couple of times when i open my game it wouldn’t even let me connect to character selection screen it would say disconnected, but then when i restart the game i can connect to my character screen; but that’s not as much of an issue it’s when i play 3s arena i get a q pop and as i am loading into the arena my loading screen is stuck and it kicks me out of the game and gives me an error message in chat that reads “transfer aborted instance not found”

this happens i would say around every 4-6 games also happens every 4-6 games when i type /afk in chat inside the arena

Looks like this got moved to Tech Support. Here’s hoping someone here has seen or experienced something similar and can help out!

Edit: And I see you already had a thread here. I’d follow the advice you were given there and open a ticket next.

idk like i literally did the full ui reset yest by renaming the folders and then i reinstalled my game completely and it still doesnt work idk if i am not doing it in the proper order or whjat

Thank you for taking the time to report this. I can see that you have tried several solutions on your own, so at this point we’ll want to have you run a ‘WinMTR’ network test while the error occurs in-game. This will show any network-related issues between your computer and the game server. Here are the instructions:

  1. Download the tool from this page
  2. Enter the game IP into the “host” field. The IP address for our games are listed on the WinMTR instructions page
  3. Start the test and play the game for at least 15 minutes. Ensure the error occurs while the WinMTR tool is running. If it doesn’t happen within 15 minutes, restart the MTR test.
  4. After recording the problem data, click “export text” and save the WinMTR file in an easy to find location.
  5. Once you have that made, open the file. You’ll need to copy and paste the contents of the Text document into the post, and put four Tilde (~) marks above the WinMTR. It’ll look like this:

i only tested for the US west ip address and not the US central one for WoW since the error occurred almost immediately when I was running the program

Kayllemir, Thanks for running the test and posting the data! This test shows no problems at any point in the connection as we can see that the “Sent” and “Received” packets are equal at the destination (WoW server), and the “Average” and “Worst” latency numbers look great at 30ms and 40ms.

This means that the problem is localized to something on the computer (such as corrupted game files or a third-party program), or it is still related to the connection but not something that will show up in a WinMTR test. Since you have already reset the User Interface and reinstalled the game, can you temporarily test an alternate network such as a mobile hotspot or VPN? This will help us quickly determine whether the issues are network-related.

If the issue is resolved when using an alternate network, at that point we can be sure that the issue is isolated to the primary network. In these situations, ultimately we can only recommend contacting the Internet Service Provider (ISP) for assistance determining what is causing the issue to occur on that specific network. They might need to adjust network-level security/firewall settings or temporarily replace the network devices in your home to narrow it down further. I always recommend requesting to be forwarded to a “level 2 or level 3 technician” when contacting the ISP since the front-line representatives typically only have access to basic diagnostics and troubleshooting tools.

Are you getting disconnected when trying to log into your characters or when you switch realms? I’ve also been dealing with this for the better part of a day.

i got disconnected when starting up the game right before the character selection screen

and also when loading in and out of an arena

What ISP do you have? I’m having issues in other services and games, it may be our ISP.

have you contacted them? this is such a niche issue that even if i contact them i wouldn’t know what to say it’s annoying

like it’s only blatantly disrupting my gameplay experience but it’s not enough of an issue to disrupt my other activites such as just browsing the web

I’m not sure, either. I’ve seen that whenever anything is trying to pass through the authentication process, it crashes several times. Others are reporting issues with Frontier here: https://downdetector.com/status/frontier/

how long has this been going on for you?

this started for me just yesterday randomly before that was fine

i live in dallas area and we had a storm on monday so maybe that affected it idk

Yesterday as well, we’re in the same general location. I’d bet it has something to do with the flooding. Frontier always has problems when it rains.

i own express vpn will turning it on be able to test this issue ? or does it have to be a mobile hotspot
