I think it’s good when people point out the “trying too hard” condition. It’s like the term “latinx”. Living here in Miami, I’d get blistered if I called any of my coworkers, customers, or friends that. It’s just the route that some “save the world” type or someone who thinks they are smarter than everyone else chooses to go down.
The vast majority of people don’t spend all day thinking about race, sexual preference, gender, etc. They just want to live some kind of an enjoyable life. It’s the out of touch “elite” types who are driving this division by attempting to make every single thing a race, gender, climate issue etc. They are succeeding too, which pretty much sucks, because they are living worry free lives and making sure the average person has no shot to get there.
