Trainer's Bugged?

Hi~! So i’ve gone to various trainers and all seem to have this issue.
I’m trying to learn skinning and leather working but none of them work.
It shows the same option twice and when I click on it both are selected and the “Train” button is still greyed out.

Am I doing something wrong? I’ve gone to multiple NPC’s and all the same I don’t know what to do.

well you can try a full UI reset https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/7549 you can also play around with the filters see if ur missing something.

I’ve checked with the filters it doesn’t fix anything. I seems like its bugged out to have the same option twice and clicking on either of them selects both but you can’t do anything after that

And ur DK doesnt have any other primary professions learnt at all. I would still try the UI reset it can effect only one character or all a corrupted UI.

ah ok, The reason I was trying to learn it is because of a world quest to get stonehide leather, I figured maybe the reason the mobs that were supposed to drop them weren’t dropping any was because I needed skinning or something

shouldn’t prevent them from learning a 2nd if they’ve only got 1.

Well the good news is you can buy it off the AH and that will count.

While this is true, you need skinning to procure leather from the mob yourself, it isn’t the only way to get leather. Some players sell it on the auction house.

I’ll try the auction house ^^ thanks guys~! :purple_heart:

No problem! But I would second the option to perform a UI reset for your inability to learn a second primary profession.

Outa curiosity u dont have minning learnt do you.

One last question for future reference, once we learn professions we can’t quit them or anything?

Apparently I have herbalism and jewelcrafting

You can! There’s a little red circle with a cross through it next to the profession you want to drop.

Bear in mind you’ll need to relearn any recipes you’ve already learned if you want to go back to it.

You can unlearn any professions at any time.

There’s a forum for New Players. They are great for answering questions.

If you don’t let yourself get overwhelmed by the amount of data there, Wowhead has guides for every aspect of the game.

I know this is a very old post but just thought I’d mention that when you visit the trainer you actually have to click on the training type/level that you want to learn before the “train” button will become active. So in other words you can’t just rock up, speak to the trainer which then opens the menu and expect the “train” button to be active…it won’t be until you make a selection.
