Trading Post Tokens - Need a Rework

Guys, let’s raise the issue of reworking the Trading Post token system

Blizzard is creating an artificial shortage of tokens. Every month new items are added to the Trading Post, and even if you’re selective with your purchases, there’s never enough tokens. The prices are unreasonably high compared to the amount of tokens we can earn

Soon, a huge new content feature is coming – Player Housing – and the Trading Post will likely offer tons of house items. That will require even more tokens. The situation is snowballing and needs to be addressed

Here are a few suggestions:
1. Increase the monthly token cap to 2000
2. Cut item prices in half
3. Add bonus quests, events, or activities that reward tokens
And option 4 – probably not popular, but a last resort – allow tokens to be purchased for real money in the shop

You don’t have to buy everything…

The scarcity is by design so you go after what you like.

Nah.

I just went through all of my Tendies myself, just from the Chessboard and Warsaber.

I know I spent too much on things Ill probably never use last month, those quivers and bows, so I have to deal.

Tbh last month was perfect, 1500/outfit/mount/backpiece if you did a few more tasks

If they kept that the theme, even if it wasn’t always 3 higher ticket pieces, be great

Like this month coulda been the mount/outfit/and a staff or 2h mace

You were never meant to buy everything. That is how works.

Guys, where did I write that I want to buy EVERYTHING?

Please read the topic carefully

I’m saying that there aren’t enough tokens, and soon there will be very large expenses on cosmetic items for players’ houses

Yeah, guys. They don’t want to buy EVERYTHING. Just everything that they want, duh.

This is a battle we can never win because they are full on FOMO devs now. The Early Access and 90$ mount and the Legion Remix decisions have sealed it, they are 100% FOMO.

My pet peeve is that i keep getting the notices that i completed a traders tender quest even after i got the max amount for the month.
What I would like is Either stop sending these notices or reward some tenders for completing these extra objectives.
It could be at a discounted rate, maybe 50% of original payout, but if i do the work maybe give some reward?

I agree with this. we need more tenders.

That would be an understatement.

Im not a fan of the rising inflation prices or the constant seasonal themes. Was hoping we would get more old/remade stuff like the Scarlet sets they made. Plenty of Vanilla and TBC sets that they can remake and throw on the TP.

Been saying this for a while. They might be aware to some extent, as they have random months with 1400.

A compounding issue seems to be he static 1000 by default with inflation occuring on most items types.

The two ground mounts for 600 each are a good example this month. With some pets being 300 and others being 500+.

Same thing with certain mogs be 800 and others 550.

A new baseline of 1600-2000 would be nice, as it still wouldn’t scratch half the items for most months, but I have little belief this will be changed.

There are only “not enough tokens” if you want to buy everything. That’s why people answered you the way they did.

There are more than enough tokens to buy 1 big piece and maybe a couple of smaller pieces every month. That’s why people say “never meant to buy everything”

We dont know how large the expenses will be, remember there are tons of transmog items for like 50 tokens every month.

Sure there may be a giant statue of Xalataths feet for 750, but you can just skip a month to save.

1500, the monthly alotment, is enough for a mount + transmog set and some miscellaneous items. It will still be enough when its house item+mount or what ever combination.

Why would you even want to buy everything. Most of the time the stuff really isn’t that great. Like I mostly skip the ground mounts. I mean…they’re ground mounts. I literally won’t ever use them even if I did like them. What’s the point in spending tokens on those.

Collectors want to collect.

This should be about the same level of revelation as “water is wet”
