With the few trading post threads up I had an idea i wanted to dhare with all you crazy people.
Personally i go back and forth on the trading post, I dont do any of the more holiday themed ones or flowers and nature, though if i had a druid the flowers and nature might be fun.
I can never get enough blood and skulls (blood for the blood god, skulls for the skull throne).
To the point. Since inscription has abandoned the glyph system, and more than a few want more cosmetic options why not put them on the traders post for 1k-3k for a entire “class skin”
The ones ive thought of are pretty easy to implement, probably.
Twilight Vindicator- void themed pally, black and purple effects on spells and have a twilight themed plate set to buy also.
???-this one is based off the glyph for demon hunters, mana touched hed souls. All their abilities and tattoos could have an arcane tint to them.
The last one is based off the light trying to “reforge” Illidan, agian a demon hunter but the tattoos and abilities could be recolored as holy abilities.
I really like the Sarong. It goes really well with the bikini tops. It’s available in several colors. I’d like to see them add orange and purple. A few more bikini tops to match would be good as well.
And of course Alleria’s dress would be to die for. Multiple colors and have the black tights come separately as “legs”.
And high heal boots to go with the dress as well, although high heal anything causes the issue that your avi has to float a couple or few more inches off the ground. Second Life has a feature to add that makes this all work but I’m not sure if the WoW avi system could handle it.
While i appreciate your dedication to your idea of a pally. The twilight hammer has a pally npc that works with them. Called a twilight vindicator. So its already in game sort of
What ruins it? Wow has many npc classes that dont make sense.
Like the twilight Vindicator. Its basically a pally it has pally spells but dosent channel the light. The npc is a memeber of the twilight hammer cult.
So giving pcs the abilities to play a class with a glyph/skin that is already represented isnt going to break the class any more than it is.
I wonder if the trading post is just where they discard unused concepts or if they’re actually tracking what sells and what doesn’t using that to come up with ideas.
High heels are famously hard to do in 3D modeling due to the fact that they alter the entire shape of the legs and height on the character model - which is, after all, their purpose in real life as well lol
I always figured they probably didn’t care what sells since it’s all just in game currency, but now that they’re testing the waters exchanging real money for trading post tokens they might be looking at what will drive up demand.
They do this in Second Life but then Second Life was able to update their entire Avi system with sliders and the rest of it. The way your avi looks is a major feature of Second Life.
Of course Linden Labs was able to take two or three years to make the conversion because they don’t have to worry about content. In Second Life content is the member’s job (i.e. the players).
There is no forecasting provided by Blizzard and items cycle every month. Prices over 1K per item are unrealistic.
Unless they are going to start telling us what is coming months ahead of time with the costs or keeping items available for multiple months. Even being able to freeze one item at a time doesn’t cover this situation.
