I bought it cause the plain-ness sticks out from all the glowy stuff people got, i get a different vibe from it that i like

That’s kind of the point. A lot of people have been begging for more “normal” weapon/armor models. Same reason why people wanted grey and white transmog. Sometimes you just want a sword, rather than a SWOOOOOORRRRRDDDDD!@!!!

i bought it because it looks cool, and the weapons from exiles reach are faction locked so you have the trading post version that can be used by horde and alliance. it’s not overdesigned, model+texture are good. if you want gaudy overdesigned crap you have plenty of other expansions to farm dungeons/raids

A normal looking blade with modern graphical fidelity is far from common in this game. Snapped it right up, excellent for any character transmog that doesn’t look like a tiny gundam.
It’s just a dark steel recolor of the exile reach greatsword, but it’s a welcome addition. I’m also a huge fan of the squire’s hammer they added two months ago.

I love plain looking swords that look like they’re from fantasy movies so I bought it.

Plus, a plain weapon tends to make effects pop more if you decided you want to transmog a glowy enchant on there.

though imo it looks kinda ugly, a bit too bulky, I think the crossguard especially needs to be slimmed down.
it looks worse than some of classic wow low fantasy swords. And game already has this model outside of trading post in different (better actually) color
Why only classic weapons have steel shine effect, everything else looks like it made of wood
I like it because it looks like something that actually existed. It’s perfect for the player who wants a medieval knight type transmog. I doubt that kind of look would use a flaming sword with spikey bits and shaped more like a club, which is 90% of swords in this game.
